HoldensHairdo Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Oh I don't know. Maybe it was because it was 12 months later on and we were in a different financial situation? Maybe it was because GM wasn't trying to whore himself for another job. Or maybe it's because Phil Gartside is a cunt? How could we have been in a better position financially? We were a top ten side comfortably. BSA was touting himself for England etc and why not, he worked wonders for us and never received any financial backing Quote
no balls Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 We got £500k for every position we moved higher up the table so 17th so there's a good few million... Full houses every week almost. We had more chance of making extra cash during BSA than now yet we didn't spend it. Do you know how much the attendance money is in the scale of things? It's up there with the UEFA's two parts of fuck all. I'm not sure I remember that many sell outs either so maybe your memory is better than mine. Areyou not thiking of Burnden Park? That was always full. Your first name isn't Craig is it? Quote

Oh hang on we were doing that weren't we £5m would "buy" u fuck all ..... Shut up you twerp Quote
HoldensHairdo Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Shit, you found me out. I don't know facts but I do know that finishing 6th, 8th etc is more financially rewarding that 17th so that extra money should have gone to his transfer kitty Quote
Traf Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Sausage and egg McMuffin What's your fucking problem, you fucking fucker? Quote
Exiled Girl Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 he worked wonders for us and never received any financial backing No, we never bought any players or paid any salaries whilst Allardyce was in charge, did we? Quote
Traf Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 No, we never bought any players or paid any salaries whilst Allardyce was in charge, did we? Nope, ageing footballers were queuing up to play for us for free. Quote
HoldensHairdo Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Transfer fees - No. Wages - yes Under Megson we had both Quote

whoareya? Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 pushing up daisies let's just ask pele again ? I know this is a first, Miami, but according to wiki (!!) you're wrong. Brown and Neal were definitely a low point for me but he's done well to get to 73...must be employing a professional gardener nowadays! Quote
no balls Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Transfer fees - No. Wages - yes Under Megson we had both And more mother fucking cunting Sky Money! And transfer fees and Allardyce is still a little bit of a tricky subject till the lawsuit is taken out against the BBC. Quote
Didledee Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) He was given money, but not enough for the job he did. He deserved the England job and the club didn't match his ambition for the next stage of his plans as manager of us. If he was backed, could it have been any worse than what this club as beomce since he's left? sure we could have lost more money if things didn't work out, but aren't we in massive debt anyway? even when Megson was bidding for Veloso and Emana, surely we'd have been in debt then too. HoldensHairdo Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Yes the only transfer we paid for. The free transfers wouldn't last forever and that's why he went... Anelka made us a profit too so he spent wisely yet wasn't backed. Allardyce left because of this so it's clear as day. Quote

Well, if there were no transfer fees then there couldn't have been any brown bags could there? Shame on the BBC Quote

Anelka was a gamble, it paid off, mainly because we were fortunate enough to get him at a time in his life when he'd got a stable relationship and was worshipping Allah. Quote
