December 27, 201213 yr Well, I've just joined Xcercise4Less on Manchester Rd.... £100 for 15 months, peak as well.... so good I signed up my daughter as well! Whilst there's no wet areas (phnarrrr, phnarrrr), for that kind of money (£6.66 per month on the above deal I got), its a steal. Tons of equipment. But... are they a fad? Can they survive at those prices? (Oh, I've got the girls name who did me that deal today, so if anyone wants her name & number, let me know). Edited December 27, 201213 yr by Smiley

December 27, 201213 yr What the free weight area like Smileski?? My point being will it not get full of scutter meat heads throwing creatine about at those prices?? I pay £27 a fookin month for my Gym....ridiculous,but its 2 minutes drive. Edited December 27, 201213 yr by gonzo
December 27, 201213 yr Supposed to be busy. Gf's lads go there and they are well into that gym stuff, so it must be alreet for the cash
December 27, 201213 yr Xercise4less has the biggest free weights section I've seen. It's full of peasants and meatheads so avoid rush hour. Edited December 27, 201213 yr by Carlos
December 27, 201213 yr Stay clear. I quit after a month and got landed an admistration fee. Never seen any T&C's, never signed out, reported their finance company to the FSA. There sales people are all ex Total Fitness and its a case of get has many signed up has a poss. Last time I heard they had 3200 members (begining of Dec). 6am in the morn is great, but 6 till 9 its its chav city. Not enough showers and lockers. At £9.99 a month you get what you pay for. I could say more but not on here.

There finance company Harlands are coining it it with admistration fees wtc. I've quit but they still are offering me 3 months free to come back.
December 27, 201213 yr Author I've not signed anything. Paid it all upfront. It's a convenience for me as t'other daughter has theatre class at Octagon on a Tuesday, so intend to be at gym 4:45pm for an hour or two. At £1.65 a week it will be worth it.
December 27, 201213 yr Go running its cheaper and better for you. The one next to screwfix is always busy

Are they still full of posh crumpet ? If you've got dicky knees treadmills and cardio shit is a much better option. Be careful with road running if you haven't got clever trainers.
December 27, 201213 yr There's fucking loads of cardio machines, you can't go wrong IMO. I've been in when everyone is taken.

Exactly, have you seen the T&C's or been told where to get a copy? what happens after 12month, check you don't have to give 30 days notice, that goes for any gym membership. Hope it works out for you pal. I've gone back to driving to work and going to a new gym at Stockport end. I went to xercise4less becasue I wanted to use the train but after a month of the train cattle trucks I soon went back to the car...
December 27, 201213 yr I've been in when everyone is taken. In Bolton? There's not enough parking for half of them to be in use.
December 27, 201213 yr If you go early like JayJay it's a bargain but I would rather pay £60 odd at our place & know I can turn up at peak and not have to wait for stuff. If you use a gym often enough the cost per visit is negligible. Downside is the likes of Henri Lloyd & BD lurking around the locker room.
December 27, 201213 yr In Bolton? There's not enough parking for half of them to be in use. Serious, 7pm on Tuesday night beginning of Dec, it was rammed. If you travel along Manny Rd have you noticed how bad the junction is? Pity Carpet Right and Maplins and whne Iceland get there...
December 27, 201213 yr The junction is fucked, but that's one for Frank. I have to go right, onto St Peters and back onto Bury Rd. I've never seen more than a handful of machines in use, but I wouldn't go at 7.
December 27, 201213 yr 6am till 10am would be best but most of the lockers have locks on them, lets the locals stash their gear overnight. Getting a shower at 7pm is fun, 5 showers. Edited December 27, 201213 yr by C86
December 27, 201213 yr I think a good wank is all you need these days to have a healthy life. Too true mate.
