January 2, 201313 yr http://www.highlighthealth.com/cancer/smoking-cessation-timeline-what-happens-when-you-quit/ June 4th at 12:10 am I had my last smoke, 7 months and can say the last month or so has gradually got easier, in the fact the smell now makes think it stinks rather than thinking God, that smells good, which I did at first. didnt use any aids but used a timeline like this as a milestone to aim for each time I passed the previous, the money saving calculators helped too, but to be honest, I found reading what was improving at each milestone a real source of encouragement which in turn helped as the milestones get progressively longer. 7 months, so hardly be in a position to say ex smoker quite yet, but going in the right direction and this psychological method of counting the improvements to your health at regular periods may just help some get through that hardest first month and keep going. good luck to all giving up

January 3, 201313 yr Author Last night was pretty tough but I resisted the urge "just to nip out and get 10 ... for emergencies like." Handy hint for anyone on patches. I know they're 24 hour patches to stop you having the craving when you woke up, but fuck me, they give you weird dreams (presumably because you're still absorbing nicotine while you're sleeping). Last night I was back at school (no, not in a Savile kinda way) and we we all had a day where we were walking dogs from the local dogs home. Mine was a cute little bundle of white fur, I'd say possibly a Bichon Frise puppy or sommert similar. Anyway, it got free of its lead, ran out into the road and got squashed by a van who then didn't even stop. I'm then sat there with it crying my eyes out as it dies in my arms. My next dream was me having a threesome with two hotties from a rental agency who'd been who'd been showing me round a new flat. Swings and roundabouts. I think I'll take today's patch off before beddy byes tonight though.
