Ipad Wanker

Featured Replies

Reet...the gf bought me an ipad for my bday...always hated apple so never really bothered taking any interest in anything about em.....

So the question is...how can i get my movies and music on it? Do i have to do it via my pc and i tunes?

Any other useful tips?

If you jailbreak it you can put what you want on it but as its news I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise it laptop and iTunes.

What the fuck can i do with it with dodgy downloads?

oli told me the other week that there is a vlc app

seriously, android tab, utorrent app, download from isohunt, mx player

I'm truly baffled by why anyone would choose an iPad over an Android tablet.

Is it purely because of the brand name? I can think of no other reason.

Casino's reet. Android, Utorrent, MxPlayer. It's the future. Download straight onto your tablet and (if you;ve got one with HDMI out) plug it straight into your telly. No fucking about whatsoever.

I've jail broken my iPad and stream all the new films via apple TV box to the telly. Sky movies subscription cancelled.

Handbrake is what you need. It is a piece of piss. Convert your movies/tv to mp4 and then put them in iTunes. Then you can stream or download them to your ipad or straight to the tele with an apple TV box.

Depends what you want it for. If you want to download a few apps, browse the internet and play a bit of music then Ipad is the winner. The OS is simpler and easier to use. If you want it to play anything you throw at it, download torrents etc then you are probably better off with Android.

Furry muff. This is exactly what I use mine for.

thats when i say 'why'

as a piece of standalone kit, the iPad is a far superior device to any other tablet on the market in my opinion. The build quality and screen quality is second to none. I can see why the fact that everythign goes through itunes is an annoyance to some, but I guess it doesn't bother the majority of folk, hence why it sells so massively. As Daniel says, if you want to download torrents onto your tablet, then you obviously have to go Android, but as this is something I don't have an interest in, then the iPad is still OK for me.

I'm no expert on this, Carlos knows better than I, but isn't the IOS a "safer" and more secure operating platform than Android....or am I talking out of my arse again?

That's what I claim, whether I'm talking shit or not is up for debate.

You did, I think, but I didn't understand it.

Care to explain it slowly for an old iPad giffer like me?

I might as well get some use out of it before I hand it back in.
