Without a doubt over the past 30 years there have been better fighters than both Khan and Hatton yet had nothing like the fan base. Hatton had a big fan base almost straight away, he was a top amateur and was well promoted early doors he was also the likeable lad, loved a beer, loved football etc. Khan was in the spotlight after the olympics and obviously attracted a massive muslim fan base (not only muslims). A lot of how boxing Careers pan out depends on how they are promoted and handled early doors. Quote
