I usually say stay away from any that mention oak. It's that flavour which puts me off red wine as I tastes chemically to me

try the Alex Ferguson. a true red,whines like fuck,palatable but leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

 

it's an old wine,so has a musty smell,and when relegated it will go down a treat

 

 

failing that try..... Chateau Musar Juene,splendid tipple available at your local Selfridges

I found it disgusting

 

everyone I tried

 

tasted like vinegar to me

 

then I went Paris and was on it there, presumably it was the proper stuff as it tasted worse

 

next time I tried it in England I was hooked

 

absolutely love it all now.

i was the same. like you say keep trying until you stumble upon one you like. the one i mentioned above from Selfridges is absolutely superb.

got a couple of wine tasting trips booked on my jolly to Alsace next month,really looking forward to those

having a very rare day off in midweek is a bad idea for me. my wine cellar needs replenishing. done more reds in the last week than i did on black sunday
