stevieb Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 had some tasteless merlot last night nothing worse than poor red wine Correct. Was at my dads for a family soiree last week. His Mrs said to him get a bottle of each, never drunk wine in his life, came back with 7% wine. Was like gone off vimto! Currently drinking cotes de rhone for 7.50 a bottle at 14% from Sainsburys. Not 3 bad for a novice like me! Quote
Pablo Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Grabbed a 'Trapiche Malbec' toneet, from co-op. Very nice. Quote

Youri McAnespie Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Mulled Cider down at the Oast House is superb btw. That shithole 'estate' pub in Breightmet? 'Mulled' probably means "We've pissed in some Strongbow slops and stuck 'em on the hob"... I thought it was a kebab shop these days? The start of a slippery Th'Islamics slope for Breightmet, you can stick as many flagpoles with Union flags up as you like lads, the rot has started as soon as a Divan Donner starts rolling. Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 To make it white wine thread for a minute (hello sailor!) Rosemount Estate 2012 Australian Chardonnay £4.99 from Morrisons (1/2 price) - I've had two glasses and I'm half-cut already. Quote
