July 5, 201313 yr If only nonces were allowed to breed for centuries and centuries, and us normal folk were stuck in a sack with some bricks and chucked in the river. And nonces brought their offspring up to be nonces - then yes.
July 5, 201313 yr To take this away from the emotive issue of dogs attacking kids for a second, because it's obvious some have these breeds... Reet, people often say X breed (say border collie) are 'crackers' and 'hyperactive' etc. Really? No shit? A dog specifically bred over centuries to run around in fields covering fuck knows how many miles is 'crackers', but it's not because it's stuck in a fucking house all day
July 5, 201313 yr By your reckoning though, nobody should be allowed to have kids just incase someones a nonce? That's not the same at all. Certain breeds were bred for specific reasons (as Youri pointed out). I'm just of the opinion that despite generations of domestication there will always be underlying traits in there personality that could bubble to the surface at any time. The vast majority of the time this, thankfully, never happens. ... but in some cases it DOES surface. That is a cast iron factamundo and you can't possibly deny it. To then say, well, you can't 100% trust another human is a bit of a weak counter. I'm sure your dogs are as good as gold and always will be. I've known plenty of folk over the years who've had rotties and they'd argue they'd not hurt a fly. Personally, I'd never take that risk myself, that's all. There are plenty of other breeds out there who, admittedly might have a nasty side to them that might come out at some point, but at least I'd be safe in the knowledge they could never do any serious damage.
July 5, 201313 yr There was some cunt outside the Castle last week struggling to control a giant Poodle that either wanted to kill or shag an old woman that walked past. WTF!
July 5, 201313 yr John Venables has been released today, for the 4th time. Do you reckon his switch is faulty?
July 5, 201313 yr John Venables has been released today, for the 4th time. Do you reckon his switch is faulty? Oh are we back to humans again? ... and yes, I think there's something very faulty with his switch. Bazza, I know you're very good at searching for things/people on the internet ... therefore I know you'll have no trouble finding the countless stories of where children have been mauled by 'family pets' such as Akitas, Staffies, Rottweilers etc. If your only argument is to counter with tales of sick and twisted human beings (I use that term very loosely regarding Venables) then this is all a bit pointless. July 5, 201313 yr There was some cunt outside the Castle last week struggling to control a giant Poodle that either wanted to kill or shag an old woman that walked past. WTF! Knowing poodles. . Probably wanted to jump up.. The guy knew what his dog would do... hence why he locked it up.. I know exactly what mine would do in that situation. One would attack the other would cry... doesn't make it a dangerous dog. If your dad got attacked in the street would you try to protect him? Regardless of breed its all the dog tried to do.
July 5, 201313 yr When some kid gets mauled, or worse, killed - it's not very often the owner or friends/family of the owner come out and say... "It was a vicious, terrible animal - it looked ready to savage someone at the first opportunity" Nah, it's usually "It was soft as anything", "it was really good around children..." etc. Edit: I'm going to leave it there, I'm off to t'other page to see if there's any more new trivia on the 'Back to the Future' Trilogy. With dogs it's a bit different. A lot of attacks happen BECAUSE they're such well mannered animals. BY that I mean If they were always nasty then your guard would always be up with them. I'm not talking about these attacks on wasteland around council estates were some scrote lets his staffies run freely and they end up attacking someone, I'm talking about your average familes where the owners' children are attacked in their own homes and gardens ... or where children nearly have their heads ripped off for putting money into a collection bucket that their owner is holding at a carnival. July 5, 201313 yr What happened to the lad up Breightmet that rode an offroad bike into a car - on the road? Oh and I think he wasn't wearing a helmet. The whole estate was praying for him apparently. I bet they fucking were.

July 5, 201313 yr I'll jump in with a bit of parochialism, I was up there once taking my niece to Curlee Wurlees or whatever it's called for a party. Anyhow I wasn't going to sit in there for two hours looking like a trainee sex case so I went for a walk and a bite to eat. There was some bloke with a suit (he didn't look very comfortable in it - more like 'The Accused') he'd topped the look off with a single gold stud in one ear tho'...Well he had a pasteboard table set up with leaflets on, he was talking to a few folk and handing them leaflets, so I had a wander over. They were BNP ones (the leaflets), at the same time an oldish black bloke (West Indian) I see sometimes just having a stroll, he lives in Great Lever was passing by too - the look in his eyes when he saw what was going on (there were quite a few folk showing interest in the BNP bloke), well the look in his eyes, it genuinely looked like a mixture of disappointment and sadness. Some inner rage hit me seeing this, I really wanted to go over and boot the fucking table over...But, I'm a great believer in free speech, even if the speech happens to be a load of shite (and there were quite a few handy looking goons with the besuited one ) so I didn't. Unusually for me a bit of a long-winded and boring anecdote - but that really stuck in my mind, and troubled me. That said you can't say the same scene wouldn't occur in Great Lever or Farnworth or, well, anywhere 'poorer' in Bolton (apart from Daubhill! ). Edited July 5, 201313 yr by Youri McAnespie
July 5, 201313 yr I've got a Labrador and its natural instinct fucking amazes me,it really does. If I lob a rock in the sea,he will actually swim under water to get it. When I walk through the door he won't come to me till he has found something to bring me...and it can't be the same thing as before it has to be a different item. Doesn't do any of that for anyone else but me. I havnt taught him any of that,he does it because his breed has been bred to centuries to do so,Labradors were first found on he isle of Newfoundland where they were used by fishermen to collect fish dropped overboard in shallow waters. I agree with dazzler and youri to an extent that you can't teach instinct out of a dog. Had a jack russle as a kid...was well behaved and model dog till it ripped my fuckin cheek off.
July 5, 201313 yr By the way I'm not saying folk shouldn't have Rottweilers and the ilk,I'm just saying dont be surprised when the odd one switches.

I have never seen anything like that around here, BNP or otherwise. more of interest, where did you walk from there to get a bite to eat?

I have never seen anything like that around here, BNP or otherwise. more of interest, where did you walk from there to get a bite to eat? The place I went to eat? There was some bakery on Bury Road - but a few doors down there was a cafe that must've been owned by the bakery - does that make sense? They had the same sign and frontage but in different premises. Asked for my usual bespoke Black pudding slices on toast with mustard and brown sauce sandwich type thing and they didn't bat an eyelid, was nice. The BNP bloke was set up on the other side of the road, just before a group of shops - Home Bargains and an Aldi or Lidl or Netto? This is going back a couple, maybe even three years...Was a Saturday, mid-morning, was sunny and fairly warm...I was wearing adidas New York Trainers, some Diesel Jeans... Folk were interested as in being curious, looking at the leaflets and listening to him, but they didn't seem apt to start carrying him aloft in the chair position whilst sieg-heiling or owt. July 5, 201313 yr Never, ever has there been a better reason to post this Interesting fact, the dog in the picture was the 'father' that provided the 'Labra' for the very first Labradoodle.
July 5, 201313 yr Interesting fact number two, to get that picture of Graham Norton with his dog, I typed "Graham Norton Labradoodle" into Google and the pictures popped up, the source of the picture? Wanderersways.com Behind The Stands. Graham Norton Is A Cunt. I felt like a proud parent try it for yourselves. Type graham norton labradoodle into Google then click on that picture. July 5, 201313 yr Just typing wanderers ways into google images gives a great insight into the radomness of this place.
July 5, 201313 yr I'll try that, but with the Norton thing, I just thought that anyone who actually likes Graham Norton and were looking for a picture of him and his pooch - well, they'll be under no illusions about what the citizens of Wanderersways think of their hero.

You'd have stood out from the crowd then wasnt anything other than curiosity, the place you went makes sense, as in i know where you mean and i know who owns it.You walked past the Bulls head, could have popped in and sampled its Thai kitchen, that's very good. was a bit ago if it was Netto, we've upgraded to Morrisons now and it is hell on earth in there. July 5, 201313 yr Nah, I didn't think you were disputing that it happened, I thought you were just curious about the whole thing. He'd packed up and fucked off when I went past going back, oh aye, it wasn't black pudding butty I had either now I think about it, it was a hot beef sandwich with a sort of onion and possible mushroom gravy - was belting. Erm, The Bulls Head, I don't think I'd go in there - Thai Kitchen or not...A gentleman who has quite a distaste for me drinks in there. That trainer jean combo I mentioned is well over £200 worth of clobber I'll have you know
July 5, 201313 yr I'll try that, but with the Norton thing, I just thought that anyone who actually likes Graham Norton and were looking for a picture of him and his pooch Traf likes Graham Norton, he won't hear a bad word against him.....although I think he prefers Gok Wan and Alan Carr more these days
July 5, 201313 yr What happens on Friday nights when Alan's on one side and Graham's on'tother? I'm sure I flicked through the four original main channels one Friday and there was a Gayer on every channel... I was in seventh heaven. Btw, Do you know there's a knocking shop in Manchester called that? Seventh Heaven? I was aimlessly wandering round Ancoats/Shudehill one morning after an all-nighter at Sankeys, muntered of course, didn't go in like. I also witnessed a bunch of Asian lads pull up to another brothel all pile out and start booting the fuck out of the door and shouting 'slags' etc. then jumping back in and driving off again. Talk about over-compensating/fighting natural urges. Edited July 5, 201313 yr by Youri McAnespie
