That Cop That Shot That Dog.

Featured Replies

Like that's any excuse!?!? seriously do they really think that's fooling anyone? they had to defend the dogs master from his own dog.

Ok fine if the dog had a bomb on it or was actually a hitdog, working for some mafia dogs pretending to be the mans pet, but his real motive was to kill him.

a HITDOG for the MAFIA must have missed that epsoide of the SOPRANOS

Am the only one who thought the bloke was being a bit of a prick in the first place and yeah, if 20 stone of rottweiler ran at me I'd shoot the cunt too.

Its easy to watch in on the fuckin internet, face it in real life with a split second decision.

Having seen with my own eyes two grown men employed by the local constabulary kick the shit out a fifteen year old lad (when I was also a fifteen year old lad) for the heinous crime of standing around admiring an older lad's  legally owned moped.* The thought of one shooting a dog doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I won't be looking for the video of it either.

* And perhaps giving a bit of cheek

A few years ago I was seeing a woman who was looking after her mum's 2 rottweilers while her mum was away.

I went round one evening and we had a meal, then sat down on the couch and...

one of the dogs jumped up and then lay across both our laps.

I was just glad I wasn't at the mouth end, until the dog relaxed and did a magnificent silent fart.

A sort of canine dutch oven, only on wways......

Fucking hell, people (mainly cops) shoot people on a daily basis and folk are getting angry about a dog.

We, as a nation, get overwrought at the mistreatment of animals. In some ways it's a good thing, we don't go around throwing donkeys off bell-towers and the like, but sometimes it's completely ridiculous - if they'd shot the bloke there'd have been barely a whimper. There's been more outrage over this than the case of the blind and disabled bloke minding his own business, out for a walk, getting 'tasered' because 'he had a samurai sword' (his white cane).

Does  anyone remember this from a few years ago? Now, I quite like donkeys ;) but I'd say helping battered and abused women should be slightly higher on our list of priorities than sortinng out Neddy and his cohorts with a few carrots and a bed for the night...

Right. .

Seen the full video a few days ago. The dog goes for an officer. . The guy knows he's getting arrested so puts his dog in his car but leaves the window fully open. .

The guy shouldn't have randomly caused trouble. . Should have kept his nose out.. and should have secured his dog..

The dog went for the officers and they had to play it safe. .

Moral of the story. .. dont piss off people with guns. .

I saw the footage a couple of days ago. Yes, it is disturbing when the thing is kicking away on the floor with 4 bullets in it. But, it did jump out of the car and leg it towards the coppers. If it was a yorkshire terrier I doubt very much they would have shot it. But Americans being Americans they sometimes just can't wait for an excuse to get their toys out and kill things. To be fair to the copper I would have shot that fooker too. It did remind me of that time, think it's on the web somewhere, when them bobbies were on the wrong end of a pit bull attack in the street and one copper was on top of a car. The guns arrived later but if that had been America the thing would have been dead well before.

Upsetting end to the American dog, but it had it coming.

They kick their legs all the time when they're splayed out on the floor (asleep) - people think it's cute then...

"Awww look, they must be dreaming of chasing cats"

Make your fucking minds up. :)

They are obviously dreaming about being shot.

I love dogs and have had several dogs - I've also owned a few pooches too ;) but some folk need to get a grip.

This is not exactly topical, but...'viral' crazes usually leave me cold, but this one from a few years back made me smile at the time.

A police dog took a chunk out of my arse at Blackburn station when the Lancashire Constabulary let them loose in 78.

Just 5 miles down the road from me.....PETA and all the other clowns are organising protest marches and want the cop prosecuted....it wouldn't have been a split second decision for most people...we would have shot it as it charged towards us, I thought the cop showed great restrain as he only shot it after it jumped up at one of Hawthorn's boys in blue

I had an incident with one on Manny Road after a Wolves game.  They were Chipie n'all them jeans :)   The hander learnt some new words that day I think.

I used to go running along the old Bolton-Eccles Railway line (obviously now a path) from Rishton Lane to the 'border' with Salford at Cleggs Lane...I've stopped since the summer came - as the run turned into more of a walk, due to having to slow down constantly for 'devil-dogs' of various breeds being walked by their three quarter adidas trackie clad owners. Started taking a screwdriver in my pocket in case of attack!

Never got bit in the arse though. :)

Nb's comment made me smile, the amount of times I've been injured in some way and, rather than my body, I've been more concerned for the welfare of an expensive item of clothing/footwear I had on at the time. :)

Don't mess with dogs, I was plaguing the ex's dog in her house, I started to watch MOTD lying on the sofa a few hours later with my shoes off and dangling one of my feet near the floor, next minute, I get an almighty nip on the foot off the dog, payback time I suppose.

I used to have a rotweiler, doberman and alsation, the rotty was by far the most vicious so yeah I'd shhot one too. Used to drink the pool water the maddog

Ever since I read leigh white's piss funny post (below) last night I've been thinking of this scene from that filum 'Friday'. :)

I'm a proper soft cunt when it comes to animals, especially cats and dogs ... but if a rottweiler was running at me to attack I'd shoot the fucker.

Rottweilers are the one dog I distrust more than any other.  I'm sick of hearing this bollocks that it's all down to the owners and the way they treat them.  Some breeds simply have a nasty streak in them, it may be well hidden, it may never actually come out ... but it's in there hidden away somewhere nonetheless.

Anyone remember the incident at the Westhoughton carnival in the late 1980s (maybe very early 90s)?  A rottweiler attacked a kid and tore up their face.  Now, the owner of that dog used to run dog obedience/training classes in Westhoughton that my mum used to take her two dogs to.  I tagged along a few times and iirc that bloke had two of them.  They were the most obedient dogs you could ever wish to see.  There were kids running around, all manner of yappy dogs and big dogs being unruly but his rottweilers never so much as barked or let out a growl.

That day at Westhoughton though was a scorching hot day, the dog was probably stressed with the heat and when that kid bent down to stroke it something switched in its brain.  No matter how well you treat or train a dog you can't ever remove that 'switch'.

Of course all manner of dogs, regardless of breeds, can have nasty streaks.  Shih Tzus I saw get a mention above for example.  The difference is, that Shih Tzu could never kill anyone.

Anyone with a Rottweiler, Doberman, etc and also has children needs their heads testing IMO.  Chances are they'll probably be good as gold.  There is, however, always that 0.0000001% chance that switch could go in their heads.  I'd not be willing to take that chance personally.

Nah, you're full of shit Dazbob - any dog specifically bred over centuries for tasks such as hunting bears or for providing amusement for humans via fighting them (the dogs), culling the less aggresive and keeping the most (aggresive) can be cured by the 'right owner'.

It's like if a cow had the 'right owner' they'd go back to being skinny as a lat and quite spritely.
