July 28, 201312 yr Sitting on me dads shoulders at the age of 7 in the embankment for a league cup tie in 1967 against Liverpool. Think Freddie Hill and Fannie Lee were perhaps playing and we won 3-2? I thought the smell of the onions and hot dog stands were amazing as was the pipe and cigarette smoke but my owd man being the tight bastard he was would not let me try any of em!

July 29, 201312 yr Beating Newcastle at Burnden 3-1 in 1981 (or was it 82). I actually remember nothing of the match though so not sure it counts. Just remember sitting on the embankment watching an old man devour a packet of biscuits in front of me and wanting one. Oh, and I think we left the ground by walking throught the paddock and then out of the Great Lever end. After that it was getting bummed at Wembley by Bristol City in the Freight Rover. Spaznob, glory hunter.
