January 16, 201412 yr Frightening our accounts 3.8 million of gate money and 1.4 million advertising, a wage bill of 30 odd million and administration charges of 14 million, that's a gap of nearly 40 million, the worry is that to be self financing on players wages against income we earn, if we have a squad of 20 players we can only spend just over 100,000 per week on all salaries that's an average wage of less than 5 k per player and that's without management and every one outside the playing staff. It's pretty bleak who you see it written down like that. You can see now why the onus is supposedly on bringing youth through the system, as with numbers like that the would be absolutely no room for transfer fees and sell on fees would also probably be required on a regular basis. It's good the club have and are investing in other income sources away from the playing side, it's going to be needed. How the chuffery do a club like Accrington Stanley survive? - they must only be getting around £30K every other week in gate money and two parts of nothing in sponsorship, I dread to think what they must be paying their players.

I thought you could take as much debt on you wanted, but it had to be turned into equity over a certain amount (£3m per annm) Am I wrong?

Would be great for the clubs in the championship that do meet FFP though!

I've been to the Crown Ground for a couple of matches this season. I'm impressed with what Beattie's doing on a shoestring (no, that's not a proposal he replaces DF......... well, not yet). Shame more local fans don't give Accy some support now & then.

Saves them from having much serious competition.
