They also don't have three quarters of a squad on cripplingly high wages.

If Burnley finish in the top 6 I'll be stunned. Then I'll agree what a good manager Dyche is.

  • I am getting a bit pissed off with all this now.    The "Mighty Leeds" got twatted 6 bout on sat.   We drew with Forest,  I remember going to City ground when they were the European champions.

God bless Eddie Davies he's been unbelievable for BWFC and deserves a statue next to Nat. Typical of many Bolton folk that they do not appreciate what they have, they will when he's gone.

They will also return to midtable mediocrity next season when they don't get promoted this.

I bet dyche gets sacked before he's head hunted.

And not because he's a bad manager, but because he sounds like a rapist

Lolz. He's definitely got a voice that sounds like it should be coming from behind a balaclava.

Massive lollage.  I've got him in my head saying "get in the van".  Good call, Homo

Homo didn't say it.

I think they will. But they'll not go up.

Maybe not but they sold their leading scorer from last season before the start of this season and they've spent a grand total of £750,000 in transfer fees.

I know zero about Burnley but the table says they are doing well. Wasn't the lad who's scoring all the goals brought in by the last manager? Not that it has much to do with our situation in any way like.

The day we start wanking ourselves silly over the way Burnely FC are run is the day we may as well all pack in and go home.

Bar one season they have pissed and fannied about in the lower divisions for the past 30 years.

No investment equals fuck all success.

They have a decent manger that like their last up and coming hot shot manager will piss off as soon as a decent offer comes in.

What they have been through and we have been through in the last 15 years is totally incomparable.

They may be above us in league position and doing alright at the minute, but it's a marathon not a sprint and I'd rather be reeling from relegation after a decade in the top flight than getting all in a lather about having half a good season.

history tells us finishing in a playoff spot with Burnley doesn't make you a good manager

At the time Davies sacked Megson he must have been wondering how on earth Bolton had less points than Burnley when comparing the amount of money he had let Megson spend with what Burnley had spent.Megson had Elmander and Cahill, Coyle had Chris Eagles

With hindsight Bolton had less points than Burnley because Megson was a rank awful manager rather than Coyle being a great talent.

They had the great start to the Premier League (just as Bolton had in 2001), partly because the players were on a high.

By mid-season teams had the measure of them. And their absolute limit on players' earnings meant they could not strengthen with a Djorkaeff or a Bobic.

I doubt ED gave a shit about Burnley.

I don't get what your point is? I'm not trying to be an arse.

Maybe he is saying we could sell Beckford in the summer and have Wilkinson / Iliev / Youngs / Clough scoring goals.

I bet he did, I reckon Burnelys league position was keeping him awake at night.

So are Burnley the new #winners

And Stickybiscuit is the new Smithills. Yay!

Maybe he is saying we could sell Beckford in the summer and have Wilkinson / Iliev / Youngs / Clough scoring goals.

All we have to do now is convince QPR to pay £4,000,000 for him and we're half way there!
