  • So do we want to see a Brazilian style performance but end in a draw   Or   Win fucking football matches?   People are forever bleating on about how all they want is a winning team that can go

I was a student in London and hitch-hiked a lift for the first and last time for that Barnsley game, for some insane reason. I remember being about to give it up as a bad job on the hard shoulder at t

  • I think we owe it to the other clubs to no switch off against Barnsley and Charlton.

I don't mean to be negative but there's a bit of deja vu here. We had a great run the end of last season, much optimism followed by our worst start in a hundred years. Hope it's different this time.

I'm with you there, it just has to be a better start next time.

Without that start, we'd be in the play offs.

I know Iles is a gobshite but he's excelled himself in the BEN with his match report.

Trotter has gone from being a waste of space to ineffective.

By next season he might be rubbish with any luck.

Sign him up dougie.

he will be signed

lets not have 3428 threads asking 'why did we sign him, we could all see he was shit'

the deal is done

He did better on Saturday in a position that seemed to suit him a lot more. Nothing sensational, especially against the bottom team, but better.

We do already have a couple of players who can play there.

I just think our signings need to be prioritised to strenghthen the area which really need improving.

Other than Spearing and Kamara who do we have to play there?

The unproven Vela?

The Perma Crocked Holden?

I'm not saying he's better than wha we have for the 1st choice 11 just is perhaps a low cost upgrade for the squad.

WANDERERS are have agreed a deal with Millwall midfielder Liam Trotter today, The Bolton News understands.

The 25-year-old former Ipswich trainee is out of contract at The Den in the summer but it is believed Whites boss Dougie Freedman has got his man on loan with a view to him joining permanently at the end of the season for a nominal fee.

He's our Tom Huddlestone

I'm going to give him a pass until next season. Give him chance to settle.

This.

Remember how "shit" Mason was first time?

We maybe curating back costs, but still need a "squad" next season. Mel or Spearing get injured, we have a choice of Trotter or even a more match-time experienced Vela..

Remember how "shit" Mason was first time?

Mason was "shit" because he was playing up front on his own.

anelka was 'shit' for 8 or 9 games before he scored

Aye, and there was plenty on here moaning about the "waste of money"

am thinking that if he can't force himself into the reckoning following his spell at notts county, then he won't be here be the middle of next season, but at the moment do expect him to be part of DF's masterplan or long term vision or whatever it is

new players get one or two games before definitive long term opinion is made.

we've had about 10 already this season, trotter being the current one

and its not just for being shit

for the opposite see joe riley

if i was him id never want to get fit again, he gets better and better the longer he goes without playing.

Riley's the next Cafu.

I'd expect him to be too, but DF needs options.

He cant rely on Vela being able to cut the mustard.

tbf, there aint much you can rely on

it might be time to find out, mind

well aye, but is it trotter's natural position? we can't rely on him being able to play there effectively

this is prob why he tinkers like he does, seeing who can do what, rather than relying on the same players week in week out

Aye, and there was plenty on here moaning about the "waste of money"

No, just lazy

Like you with Mavies :D

Anyway we can assess players on their performances so far surely

Otherwise what's an acceptable time to day how they're doing?

Remember it works both ways, Steve Macenespie had a great debut!!
