I was a student in London and hitch-hiked a lift for the first and last time for that Barnsley game, for some insane reason. I remember being about to give it up as a bad job on the hard shoulder at t

Indeed, garbage all over the pitch

And plenty of litter

Should be like the olden days but the youth lads picking the litter instead of having pitchforks

You can be creative by assisting a player to create a chance. Who then scores a goal.

You can can even be creative without actually touching the ball. By movement alone.

Those who know football would know this.

Now I love stats, but some things don't need stats.

Those who know football. Aye, alright then.

I like winning

I'm not arguing about stats with you. There's a reason EVERY major football club in the world pays hundreds of thousands a year for them.

Stats are useless in isolation. They are good when used with visual analysis.

They are the sole reason Brighton and Brentford are where they are.

Mark Davies is not one of our leaders with assists

Mark Davies is not one of our leaders with chances created

Mark Davies is not one of our leaders with secondary chances created.

Mark Davies is not one of our leaders with dribbles.

Mark Davies is not one of our leaders with any type of pass

over the season, per game, per 10 games, per games he's played 90 minutes, per games he's played half a game.

I'd still have him in the team over your new man of the moment Trotter

Nobody disputes his talent, more the fact that for whatever reason he has never come anywhere near his true potential....& so I too can take the moral high ground....FACT!

I'd still have him in the team over your new man of the moment Trotter

You're the only one with a man of the moment, only its saying they're shit.

Danns, Medo, now Trotter.

I have said nothing more than he had a very good game yesterday, in my opinion in his best position.

And in those moments they were indeed shit :)

We need some funds in to buy the players we need nxt season Danns done trotter done we must get juke and maybe mason that's £3m minimum I reckon cheeky bid for Dawson if WBA stay up who knows so say £5m - can't see us selling mavies for £1.5m but maybe chungy and Craig davies might bet us £4m chungy £3.5m Craig davies £0.5m if someone offers £4m for ream you'd have to sell might get few quid off Swansea if they stay up for ngog not much mind offload sordell for a smallish fee and Andrews too we should be able to raise £5m plus shed loads going off wage bill knight mears ngog eagles Andrews sordell with just a bit of luck we could have a good transfer window for once

I'm with you mate, think he had his second decent game at home on the bounce and think he's coming through the settling in period and could well be an asset next season

From reading that I'd say we need a lot of luck if we were to buy Dawson for 2m and sell ream for 4

Most of us have to make do with what we see on the pitch.

But I'm more than happy for you post a weekly update to keep us ALL in the know.

I'm not the one giving it big one about 'knowing football'.

I gave you my opinion based on what I see on the pitch

you gave your opinion based on what you see and claimed it to be fact

I gave you some actually facts

Well in that case you're both skewed :D

Anymore for anymore.

I have the fax in my pocket with a few more names on yet

High five!

Do you know what fact is?

If it was a fact he would create the most fucking chances

he doesn't

fact

not a fact that doesn't happen to be true

a fact that is fucking true

He's our best player.

Not necessarily as effective as he might be with better players around him, but still our best player.

I don't think he's key to our future, and if we can clear his wage and get some money in on the way to bringing in players who will be effective (Danns for starters), then good. That's football.

But I'll be disappointed twice over if we only get £1.5m and he only goes to Leicester.

Agree with all of that. Anyone that doesn't think he's our best player is out of their mind.

Unless he's on a giant wage then I can't see us selling him for 1.5 million with 3/4 years left on his contract

His injury problems may well depress his price, the same injury problems that have seriously impacted on his ability to make the sort of impression we'd have expected of him in this Division. Was playing really well early last season, got injured, missed a couple of months, played about two and half games then got injured for the rest of the season and into this one.

When he has played this season, he's rarely, in my view, been played in his bets position, as the most forward midfielder, just behind the forwards. Too often he's either been played out wide or ended up too deep.

He is our best player but how many games do we get out of him a season and in those games how many times has he been the difference? At least if he goes for a million and a half I think Freedman can improve the team overall with that. Think we also need to release Holden as well much as it pains me to say so but I don't think we can afford the gamble anymore. Freedman can certainly spot a player and even if the players brought in are not as gifted individually collectively we can be much more effective in this league.

I'm not the one giving it big one about 'knowing football'.

Just as well really.

Anyone who can't see that Davies is our most creative and arguably best player is a fucking simpleton.

That is a fact

And similar with lee.

I feel there is a contradiction in there.

Of course, you could mean we're all simpletons, which might be uncomfortably close to the truth.
