July 7, 201412 yr Author Tell you which museum I thought was overrated that new one in Liverpool. The scousers don't half love themselves. If you compare it to to M Shed in Bristol which deals with their slightly more unsavory past building the city on the backs of slavery very well. I thought the Liverpool one was just a bit - god it was hard here, but aren't we bloody ace.

July 7, 201412 yr Author In full display, laughing at everyone coming through the door to worship at the altar of Scouseness.

This is their data and their source; one person may visit a number of museum and galleries and be counted more than once by different institutions Data also includes overseas visitors https://www.gov.uk/g..._Report.doc.pdf I believe their data
July 8, 201412 yr Author You need to read some Disraeli, my friend. But if I've got you to read the Museum and Heritage report by the DCMS, then that can only be a good thing. Welcome to a wider world.

July 8, 201412 yr Author I think the point is with thus data is that more people do than you realise and it's more popular than football; it aint a minority pastime. You should see the figs from ALVA, they include certain museums and those are big, scary numbers.
July 8, 201412 yr Last time I was in a Museum it was in Prague, all I can say is, what a toilet. Surely there are nice parts of Prague?
July 8, 201412 yr It was an obscure reference to a museum of toilets and potties and one of 'the world's' oldest privvys... Down in the south of the city, near the river, not far from those gardens on a hilltop with pretty views of the river and city. I like Prague, just not overly keen on the golden mile, pretty much like I feel regarding it's English namesake.
July 8, 201412 yr There's a link with details here, don't ask why I went in...I was in a 'delicate' state the morning after drink and was green when I left... http://www.radio.cz/en/section/czech-life/prague-boasts-unrivalled-collection-of-chamber-pots-and-toilets-at-new-museum

July 8, 201412 yr It's a tale of two cities regarding beer, one pint took me back to having my first proper drink of beer, complete nectar of the gods it was, some of the other gaffs though, I've had better pints from the slop bucket in Hawthorns...
