Exactamundo. There's shit loads of porn add-ons on the droidboxes.

Apparently.

Ah true but that would be missing the point. In a digital world of seeing pretty much any variance of whatever depraved porn you like, we have become desensitised.

The sky channels now show the stuff we used to call porn, the type we recorded by linking VCRs and selling to school mates. Happy days.

The skybox ive seen via a decent BB connection was just like watching sky

I was watching my sky Friday and all of a sudden it went off

Box initializing and then says its not getting a signal

No freak weather or anything

Cunts

ours has got scrambled as well half way through the city game.

It's super late, but, the LNB might be fucked,

don't think theyre 100% waterproof,

Dont think that bit is that dear.

Or the f-connectors / hexnut may have come loose on the dish side (into the LNB) .

My sky plus HD box just went bang, smell of electrical burning and appears totally fucked.

What's the best move; see if sky will replace it for nowt, (not paying for a new one) get it repaired (if so where?), or do something else. HD is a must. Can't watch door and cricket the old way.

Phone em tell them you are leaving

You will get a nee box and pay less per month

(If your not in contract)

Got a new box straight off. No money off though. Not a bad result.

Sky + HD box and router for sale in 5 week if anyone wants to make an offer :-)

Will I need a dish?

Garp will have it.

Shit result if no money off

Spoke to a neighbour whose using some box with Plex installed.

Seems pretty decent but doesn't fair too well with HD, keeps stopping and 'loading'. Our broadband speed is dog wank and supposedly can't yet get sky/BT fibre.

If we could, it would be cheaper to pay for fibre and fuck sky package off.

Until we can though normal sky is best option. Probably best not to push for too much in case they called our bluff.

I'm looking at swapping from Sky to Virgin as we're getting a poor broadband service. This new Virgin one is up to 200mps. Am I right in thinking that for a pretty standard Internet user that's waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy over the top?

Thanks Cas - that seems more sensible think we might end up going that way. We've had Virgin TV before now and it just got on my nerves. Sky is king as far as telly goes in my opinion. Do you get your line rental with virgin as well.

I have virgin for the broadband and phone, sky for they telly.  Had jacked off the Tivo and was using the android box, then saw there was a code for sky on money saving expert - full sky tv package - family, sports and movies all in HD for £30/month for 12 months, minimum term is 12 months.

Definitely the best of both worlds
