Nope.

Take it with you.

it's all down to the viewing card.

see, thats what i thought

but seeing as i have a main sub and now 3 multirooms, in theory i could sell a box complete with card for a nice price

i dont want to do that but it might be handy to relocate one of the boxes to daughters student accomodation

Correct.

As long as you've had it more than 12 months, you don't have to have it attached to your phone line.

This is called card sharing and its rife.

I lent my multiroom box to Swanny when he moved in.

Correct.

The bastards are charging me extra £40 for my multi room as I have moved box to another room without a telephone lead

i connected my own up and theres no phone line connected

if i get bt sport through sky do i need a sub for each box?

No, one sub covers all multiroom boxes.

You don't need a phone line connected anymore.

You don't need a phone line connected anymore.

Thats what the engineer (foreigner) told me who moved my multiroom boc but sky have wrote to me stating that if i want to keep paying just £ for multi room - all sky boxes must be connected to a working phone line - they are now charging me £41 - when I get a spare hour I will ring the wazzocks and have it out with them

Incidentally only thing stopping me changing to cable is Atlantic - does anyone know how to get Atlantic TV other than through Sky?

Google "Skybox F5"

sorry im a bit of a techno phobe

so i i acquire a skybox f5 what does that get me (apart from a skybox f5 obviously)? Do i then need a subscription to something and will it then get me all the channels that i currently enjoy with sky plus more from around thw workd such as NBC and fox sports etc from the states?

You get all the channels available to Sky Subscribers. for around £80. That's for the box and a year's "package"

After that it's around £30 a year.

The lead from your dish to your current box needs to be inserted into the new box and you need an internet connection, preferably wired to the new box, although it will work on wifi.

If you want foreign channels, android TV is the answer.

thanks traf much appreciated

In currently pay sky the princely sum of £100 a month and about time it got knocked on the head so looking for alternatives and one that offered foreign channels would be perfect

sorry, thought you said youd just got a new multiroom

looks like its only about 6.50 a month but i dunno what the cost is for the full package and a tivo and the additional box

i would be interested but whenever ive costed it up, its never been worth the messing

Skybox F5 and the like, Sky HD channels gone.

Skybox F5 and the like, Sky HD channels gone.

As it is about a tenth of the cost of a full package, I need to look into this. Do you get PPV stuff included also on these?

Yes but best to do a bit of research and sign up to Digital Kaos they have all the info that you will ever need.
