FFS I thought it was Chelsea fans charging over to take the lever end so I promptly jumped the turnstiles to escape and its cost me another 20p to get back in. ????
January 3, 201511 yr Chelsea fans definitely came into the Lever End , the filth segragated them. It's in their book ''Steaming In'' The 2 own goals were the season before, we beat them 2-1 IIRC.
January 3, 201511 yr 75/76 was Bolton 2-0 Chelsea with 2 OGs for us. One of the first matches I went to.

They were all over the embankment and Lever end. After the game they chased us up pasted Trinity st, through the town centre, around the Odeon and onto Moor lane bus station. We kept trying to rally but these cunts were seasoned blokes in their late twenties and early thirties. They ran 30 to 40 of us past the Nevada.

January 3, 201511 yr Chelsea were on the Lever End twice, both were difficult days for Bolton fans but not as bad as when munich were on. Another bad day was when Wolves outnumbered us. ( plus Sheff Utd in later days )
January 3, 201511 yr When Chelsea came up in 82/83, I clearly remember a jolly decent mob of Bolton more than holding their own after the match on Bradshawgate, pics have been uploaded on here before. A couple of Londoners took a serious kicking in the rain, their smart clobber didn't look so good whilst they were lying there in the torrential rain.
January 3, 201511 yr Can also remember millwall fans being In the lever end but there wasn't that many of them

I had a few years away from 79 to 83 playing and getting hitched, barring a couple of Burnley trips. Nice to know things changed around.

They didn't before or certainly during the game, things also looked ominous after the game walking up Manny Road, but the Bolton mob appeared out of the blue near Parker's Ride and Drive just when we thought it was time for Kenneth Wolstenholme. Fine encore from the Wanderers ''boys'', the tail wagged the dog in that last session....................
January 3, 201511 yr Was it not hay & droy who scored the own goals? my memory says hay and wilkins brother

January 3, 201511 yr I was 14 the day they were on the pitch & after the game me & a mate got chased up Manny rd then was stood at bus stop on Moor Lane when a car load of blokes of about 30 pulled up, legged it & thought we were safe till they pulled up alongside us on Chorley st! Managed to lose them through the Infirmary grounds...they were keen!
January 3, 201511 yr They were everywhere apart from Lever End - Manny Road paddock, Embankment and Burden Stand. Don't think their crowd was that massive - they just had all nutters.
January 3, 201511 yr Happy days i remember all of that , used to regularly take trips across the pitch when we played Chelsea. Was in the queue for the Lever end when that big blue door burst open and our lot piled out as Chelsea came across Paid to get in embankment and then finished in the lever end as we went back across to kick them out
