Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 There were more fans at the game and thats what the club should be trying to do. Infact, they should do it for every game until the end of the season and try and sell some more ST for next year agree. Fairly recently there was a brochure sent through the door, containing an article by Josh vela. He stated how good it feels from a player's point of view to see good crowds and a decent atmosphere. The economics may show that it wasn't a roaring financial success an a one off basis, but who knows, it may have helped a little in achieving the victory in a poor game. Keep repeating it and who knows, crowds might even grow a little as opposed to potentially falling. If this ultimately helps yield better results and a higher placed finish, then it might be financially successful in the end. That said I reckon £10 a ticket for every game would also be more than reasonable Quote
Not in Crawley Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Fuck me, we're going round in circles. Casino's ST is £398, I think. ie £17.30 a game. He also buys 2 kids tickets at £64 each. So, his outlay is £526 for 3 people to attend 23 games ie £7.62 a game. That's where his £8 claim comes from. His kids are probably older than 12, though, with him being in his late 50's , but changing the £64 U-12 tickets to U-18 only adds a total of £20 a season (£10 each) and takes his spend to £7.91 a game. * The other thing about the £5 tickets. If 3,000 came at £5, I'll wager half of them were coming anyway. So we took 3,000 x £5 (£15,000) instead of 1,500 x £25 (£37,500). I'll guess the extra 1,500 attendees didn't spend an average of £15 on sundries etc and that even assumes every penny spent = profit! So, in my eyes, the offer was a failure. We made less money and had to handle more people. Waaayheeeey! Fancy a job? Quote

waffer cup 07 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 3 match deal at Rovers £29, for last night's game against Brentford, then Brighton and Millwall. They got 13,000+ last night and now the play offs are a distant dream will probably get less for the next two, so clearly not working for them. Quote

Less than 13000 home fans with a good deal like that and a big game against one of their main rivals for play offs. Quote
