No one is saying certain pricing promos can't work on a short term bump for a match, but the % dropped by the take up, gives such poor ROI it isn't worth it in the longer term and you end up devaluing

Th'East Midlands Whites are just back and are drinking heavily/medicinally. That's a bit quick I hear you ask? Aye, well never made the game.  Turned me ankle over yesterday and this morning thought

we need a good group of strikers though, and Clough and Clayton will both have to get fit, and as we've seen this season, a game or two and back injured again is perfectly possible

Absolutely this. Pointless relying on a single 20 goal striker because we know very well he is going to get injured as soon as the season hots up. It seems all the good ones do.

Or in a pre-season friendly...

Not many of the loan stars have overly impressed on second spells.. Not saying they aren't decent players.. just not as impressive as that initial spark..

In a nutshell.. Spearing v2

ALF is different to Spearing in so much as he's scored goals everywhere he's been in England.

This is no loan spell flash in the pan.

Id get excited if ED sanctioned the move for ALF he is exactly what we need, NL mentioned on the pre-match interview that finances for ALF and Amos a problem but provided we stay up he would talk to the board, good luck with that one Lenny.

A lot of guesswork here but:

Lose Bogdan and Lonergan = £20-25k per week, putting Bogdan between 15-20 and Lonners 5-10

Sign Amos 10-12 (huge guess based on the fact he's never been near uniteds 1st team and is out of contract) and keep fitzsimons as back up.

Save about 10k a week/ £500k a year and have just as good a 1st choice as before (based on performances so far)

ALF replacing Beckford would be like for like salary I would think but the fee might put spoke in the Wheels.

I don't think you'll be far off with those figures and Yes! I would have Amos over the other two, he's a real class keeper. (so far)

And young at 24 (for a keeper) and English which could make him a very saleable asset after a couple of impressive seasons for us.

Just the type of signing I'd imagine we're after.

Any keeper is one game away from being shit with the fickle wankers at the macron.

I wouldnt be suprised to see quite a few teams in for Amos based upon what i have seen so far.

I can see similarities between the Le Fondre situation and the Duke last season if he keeps doing well. Wages not a problem but no cash for a fee and plenty competition.

hes on 10k a week at Utd. The payslips were leaked recently. Reckon we can match that at least after Bogdans wage is off the bill. So we should imo

10k. Haha so much so wrong with football. Fair play to him though

Also, fair play to the powers that be or whoever convinced Palace Chungy just had a little bit of a broken leg.

Why is he injured again?

What was the attendance against Milllwall?

Amos knows he needs regular football which, luckily, he is now getting.

I have no idea how he gets on with Lennon, but there must be a good chance that he will choose to stay, especially if there is any hope of promotion next time around. If that fails then, as been said above, he will be a saleable asset.

Of course there may be other clubs already seeking him on his Bosman, but after his disaappointment over the years at OT maybe he'll prefer to settle for what he has found here.

(and he has one Champions' League appearance in a dead rubber when he was 20).

14,719.

He played a game in a used nodder?

Amos must be popular, he's got 191K followers on Twitter.

Cheers.

Sorry![/qu. Hardly a roaring success ,but with 14,700 on and only a couple of hundred from millwall, probably 2k more than there would have been.so a reasonable response. JSL.
