the first one , the second one will revert back to normality in due course

The first one, does it set a precedent? I mean it isn't much of a stretch from that to say a referee clearly awards Chelsea a penalty on the last day of the season incorrectly which leads to them winning the league and it is decided the match must be replayed, or say a ref sends the wrong player off.....

Both teams start the game with same players, what if one got injured in training since game ?

Also whoever takes the pen is going to be fresh should make them run round for 90 mins first.

She has, they have just played. And she scored a penalty in the game. She needs to score the one tonight to put them through.

Those two examples are judgement calls though. A ref clearly getting the laws of the game wrong is another matter. A better example might be when Graham Poll booked someone three times before he sent him off. If the player had scored to equalize or win the game, after he should have been sent off, the game would almost certainly have had to be replayed.

Yes I know, but it seems this could open that can of worms. What about awarding a penalty for a handball when it is revealed it was actually a hand of the attacking side?

I know that there is a difference between it still but the floodgates could open. The debate on when and when not it is an incorrect interpretation of the laws will no doubt not be simple if something goes wrong for one of the rich boys.....

They should replay the game at a new venue and make the teams map-read to find the stadium. When neither of them turn up then decide by which team captain HTBT.

If the ref thought the defending player had handled it, then he awarded a penalty on that basis. It was a misjudgement rather than a misinterpretation of the laws. If he thought the defender had handled it and then awarded a goal kick, that would be a misinterpretation of the laws of the game.

She scored it!

Full time. 2-2 and England have qualified.

First obvs, fucking mental! Women playing football

Playing it, fine, but a flatdick refereeing! Fuck off.

They should introduce extra officials so if something is given incorrectly they can help.

They could also assist for off sides and throw ins, give them a flag each or even a microphone headset and it would work.

Maybe even a 4th official to oversee substitutions etc.

How can you expect a woman to know all the rules and remember the recipe for New York cheesecake, all the cast names from Sex and the City and who is shagging who at their Pilates class ?

They can probably remember all that, but will probably forget to do something important as a result. Like the washing up!

I'd disagree.

It was to be expected, as he's been fit for so long, an injury was due.

This keeps happening, it's got to be more than a coincidence, I think we need to look at the warm ups the players are doing and also take a look at the training pitch

That is Craig Davies gone in the summer I think now.
