If the nation is full, then we best stop people from having children.

or stop rewarding them for doing it

All sounds great on paper. But for every family popping out kids knowing there's a gravy train of benifits en route, there's folk genuinely in need.

Lass that rented our house had 3 kids. Her fella did a moonlight flit never to be seen again leaving her with fuck all.

He took the kids an' all? That's a result for her, hbaht?

That doesn't count, mate.

All on benefits are scroungers and don't need to be on benefits, because there's jobs for everyone apparently.

I know this, because I read it on a football forum.

Where does it say all of them?

I'm pretty sure it's specifically the workshy referred to and not everyone claiming welfare, of which there are many many genuine cases deserving our support.

Listen, we not to stop it at source.

SEND 1 MILLION JONNIES.

They breed like rabbits, stop it at source.

Easy Peasy.

No, it's all of them. Just play along, it's easier than having a sensible debate about the merits of paying into a system you know is being abused where those who genuinely end up in the shit struggle to cope as they don't know how to play the system.

Righto...I understand now.

So is it a bit like turning a blind eye to the widespread abuse of the welfare system, nomatter how much it costs, because the banks were even badder baddies?

I blame the immigrants for pinching their jobs that no doubt they would have got round to applying for one day.

We've got an ageing population, the pensions bill is around five times the unemployment benefits bill, one way to ensure there's enough taxpayers to foot these (and other) bills is an increase in the number of taxpayers.

I expect most politicians, of most hues, aside from the 'send the buggers back' loons, believe this, they only pay lip service to the fears of the public at large because they don't have the bollocks or bloody-mindedness to (publicly) say "You're all cretins, and we know best"...

Let's face it, especially those of you with daughters, the greying population of Europe means non-European migration is the only answer, whether you like it or lump it, this is vignette of the multicultural and globalised new future of the UK (pictured below).

I'm a daughter and only do the greying population so don't be so prejudicial

We have seen the camps they have set up outside the Eurotunnel at Calais and loads trying to crawl under lorries entering the terminal. When we came back last month it was the worst we have ever seen it, a complete shithole that is growing by the day.

Calais has always been a shithole.

I'd be desperate to escape too.

There's plenty BB&GC to go around too, don't worry 'bout that...

5 live last week interviewed a number as to why Britain instead of the 3 or 4 EU countries they had already travelled through. The answer came back loud and clear. They would have to be housed! One even admitted he had been in Greece for 18 months but spoke to his brother who told him about the nice house the local authority had put him in, so he made his way to Calais.

So Youri, your tax paying argument simply does not stack up! These guys will either end up on the black market, paying no tax, in some minimum wage job paying no tax and being subsidised to the hilt. They will also live in enclaves with little or no interest in integrating.

most in these camps are fit young men, should they not be back in their own countries sorting out their mess? But yeah lets let them all pour in. What a good idea!

Is it right that approx 15% of our population weren't born in the UK, yet the non-UK people only make up around 5% of the benefit claims?

I'm sure I heard something like that, which suggests the benefits issue is a home grown one and not an immigration problem.

I am, as always, happy to be put straight by somebody with more expertise in the area, though.

Regarding non-European migration as the answer to an ageing population in Europe, it's not my argument, it's the viewpoints of academics involved in demography, which (should be) largely impartial...

The fact that the major political parties pay lip service to the 'immigration problem' but in actuality don't seem to inclined to do anything meaningful indicates to me they generally agree with the academics.

There's so much political capital to be gained from opposing immigration, yet all the main parties seem disinclined to take a grasp at this, rather they pay lip service to our 'concerns' and that's only because they don't want to further alienate potential voters and that they're shit-scared of saying the truth - the unpalatable truth, that we, the electorate, are, in many ways, f*cking morons with no grasp of greater, wider and more intricate issues.

Then democracy is a waste of time and money and we should copy the chinese model.

We do know f*ck all, I know I know f*ck all, they're mostly all c*nts, but I'd wager most politicians of all hues are more au fait with the issues than the 'common man' - that's probably why they have such barely concealed contempt for us.

Careful now. we all know its ok to claim benefits as long as they are "a good lad" or home grown

I'm agreeing with your principle but would be interested to see what the numbers would be if you excluded pensioners coz there's fucking zillions of them.

Says who?

The workshy can get fucked and I don't care if he's from Leyth or Lebanon.

I'll have to find another fag packet to do my sums on, first.

I did some johnny-packet sums as I don't smoke, I don't use johnnybags either cum to think of it, I did some sums on a Frosty Jack label, they're crude as fuck, it costs £4.5 billion a year for unemployment benefits, if there's thirty million taxpayers that's £3 a week each.

My point is this, and this alone, is it worth getting so worked up over £3 a week?

The answer's probably going to be a resounding "yes" so I don't know why I bothered, probably just because I wanted to prove I can add up.
