August 16, 201510 yr In short - 1 the money mainly goes on players wages 2 These figures have been put on here before and I don't think they are very reliable.
August 16, 201510 yr There are some fucking mentalists around. If the salary figures were accurate, you'd be looking at a fucking massive Data Protection Act fine.

August 17, 201510 yr Chris Brown would never be on that little. I'm calling celebrities moneys.com a charlatan.
August 17, 201510 yr The interesting thing for me between the our figures & Blackburn's, regardless of the accuracy of the salaries, is the size of the squads. I remember reading something about Blackburn starting last season with a squad of 18, they really did cut their cloth accordingly compared to us, yet still flirted with FFP scrutiny. 2 of their 24 players listed are actually ours & listed as a pair of the 2 higher paid players. People have mentioned in other threads about our 'thin' squad, I still think it's still way too heavy, yet badly imbalanced. The salaries may be inaccurate but most of us can be sure, as mentioned many times before, that the freebies that came in, such as Pratley, Baptiste, Mills, were definitely on heavy salaries compared to others, a gamble taken with parachute payments, a gamble Blackburn didn't take as much with the exception of strikers by the looks of it. Food for thought maybe, or not. Though they've arguably faired better than us.

I expect it would be very difficult to get hold of the actual figures and the figures quoted have the appearance of including a fair amount of guesswork. Half of those on our list have now gone or are going and, except for the returning Jay Spearing, include all those listed as 'big earners'. Burnden Leisure's audited figures for the 2014/15 year will provide some info on employee costs but, as the accounts made up to 30 June 2014 weren't signed off until 30 June 2015, it may be some time before we get to see this.
