Tomskis right I'm afraid he's a United fan.. Paul Lester, lived in America for nearly 30 years now. Actually thinking about it I think it's 25 years.

  • That's right. We missed with the pie at Emley.

oh dear

Master of understatement this could get a tad tasty.

Who said I'm getting involved? I'm just going for a quiet amble and ramble from pub to pub.????

We are so over public transport apparently :) see you at the ground

Always a good day out is Huddersfield.....even with the minor disruptions, it's a pleasant train trip...

there's plenty of decent pubs, including a couple on the station.....

typical Yarkshire, there's plenty of good chippies & eateries....

an easy walk to & from the ground....

a good atmosphere in the away end, & if it's shared this season, it could be even better......

I think we've had a few good results there.....

& a few munichs on the train is a bonus  ( i'm also too old to be involved, & obviously I'd hate there to be any trouble, but I don't mind a bit of tension in the air )

Couple of years back we were coming back from Huddersfield away and an fc fan was in the Stalybridge pub. Needless to say he was a complete condescending wanna be football hooligan. He gave the ten of us some abuse but didn't follow it up but then started on a bloke with his girlfriend.. unfortunately for him the bloke was an off duty copper. The fc fan in his 20s was genuinely bawling his eyes out as the police took him away.. I'd expect plenty of fat ex united hooligans and 12 year olds giving it the big one. They've got some right twats for fans.

This 100% ???? can't wait.

Just checked quickest route and Preston - Huddersfield is 1 hour 27 minutes via Wigan no bus so that's the best route for any whites around the Chorley Leyland area.

That was brilliant.

That should be a half price ticket then!

As usual you're the last 1 to pay and as you know it's cash before tickets are dispensed

The days of scrounging off MR58 are well and truely over

Out in Huddersfield last night.

Found some cracking boozers I've not been in before & for those of you that enjoy your real ale, there's some beer festivals on too.

I need to remember to not ruin tomorrow by being a dick tonight. :)
