Actually, I've a feeling the one I'm thinking of was a 1-1 draw...a lot of games under the bridge since then...having said that, I'm much better at remembering scores from games back then than anything over the past 4 seasons.

  • That's right. We missed with the pie at Emley.

Been a few times to Leeds road, remember branagan lobbing ball at the ref one time

Aye think we drew 1-1 on the Saturday and got walloped in mid week 4-0.

92 I think

3-0 defeat in the Sherpa van or whatever it was called midweek then 1-1 a few days later

Emley in the FA Cup. Tony Kelly was the target of the boo boys at the time.

They beat us 4 0 there on a Saturday once.

I'm pretty sure the one Gonch is on about was league cup and league

And I'm 100% it was 4-0 as he says

It was the first match I ever left early. My Dad and I were in the thin strip of "away seats"

I remember having to travel back on a freezing cold winters night with smashed coach windows.

The 4 0 was a Saturday game, went with brother who is a veggie, at half time the veggie think the pie bit sold was waggon wheels.

My mate played for Huddersfield that day, was meeting him later, I split up with girl I was seeing in the evening and got kicked out by my landlord on the Sunday. Not the best weekend ever.

iffy whiffy?

one of his relatives was representing GB in the athletics tother day

In.  Mobbing up with Junior on Tyne. Might even steal the biscuits on Trans Pennine Express. That's how we roll.

Great pub at the station.

In for this one, cheap train tickets and a cracking away fixture.

Few at Stalybridge station then move on to the Commercial Inn at Slaithwaite. Couple of quid for a pint, no mither, belting day out

Stalybridge station, £4 a pint, apparently. Hope you've got plenty of money.

Casino was the target of a flying meat pie in the main stand. Think the mob did that match in the old transit.
