A Football knee-jerk reaction to failure means he goes rather than the players having a look at themselves. November 12, 201510 yr A big mistake IMO. Lancaster is an honourable man and should have been given longer. Sir Clive ballsed up the 1999 World Cup campaign and his second chance resulted in that unforgettable night in Sydney. The Kiwi's have done the same thing in the past and had coaches who have won it at the second attempt. I believe this will be a decision which will be regretted.
November 12, 201510 yr was armitage not picked cos of lancaster or the rfu? My understanding was the RFU. But Lancaster did have a major interest in grass roots upwards. So maybe a willing companion? We'll probably find out over the next few days what Lancasters thoughts were on this.
