Spinning Mule...

Aka 'Spoons, Nelson Square to shut up shop? Overheard some bloke ballooning about it today...Surely not, piss poor if we can't even maintain one of those.

As an aside, what's with Tiggis these days? It's seemingly packed, well busy at least every weekend - with what mostly favvers the cast of Quadrophenia, thirty six years on...

Like Zico says, they do decent ale at good prices, I'm not particularly fussed you have to rub elbows with riff-raff or the decors naff, I'm there to sup, not hob-nob or get ideas for Grand Designs. :)

Ale can be more expensive.

One in Bury facing bus station is a Lloyds, Picture House. The bar is where the stage used to be. To be fair they have done a good job with the deco in some of them, Bolton obviously the exception. One Glasgow was an old bank, even kept the vault.

Spoons also employ people with disabilities, gives people a chance to work with support. Know a couple of mates of my lad who work in them.

Lloyds in Bury used to be a Chicago Rock and was the prime location for Grab A Granny.

Bet the young Frank Spencer cleaned up in there when he had dreads.

The Green Ayre spoons has been shut for yonks in Lancaster for a refurb, never known building work take so long. Locals are saying it wont open again because it's prone to flooding.
