Indian Stone & Block Paving Cleaning

Had a quote today and have no point of relativity. Anyone any idea what the following sounds like? (I know to get another quote would be sensible too)

pressure clean 82 metres sq of Indian stone; seal it all in 2 coats (I think the sealing is the big expense)

Clean a little bit of decking at one side of the house

Pressure clean and re-sand 54 metres sq of block paving (driveway).

Total £717 inc labour

stone seal is about £30 for 5L you will only need 2/3 of them for 2 coats

Taking the piss, surely

Get another quote.

We got two quotes to dig out our existing patio and pathway and put down Indian paving.

£1300 difference between the two!

Done quite a bit of pressure washing for people; difficult to judge because some places are more difficult than others. Did one Tuesday and water just pools in part making it bloody difficult. Took me around five hours to clean then rinse approx 50-60 square metres. With block paving obviously have to let it dry and resand another day. Have you got weeds in the block paving? If there are then spray them first and make sure they're dying before jetwashing.

On the face of it, it does seem a little steep- I have a customer who received a quote of over £500 for jetwashing her drive. She didn't realise I did it, but I'd charge around £200 for the same job.

As has been said; get a couple of quotes and make sure they're for the same job.

The seal stuff is about £8 for 5 litres at B&Q, you can put it on with a roller, job done.

Anyone know what would cost to have pattern imprinted concrete resealed, mines been down 3 years now and think it needs a bit of TLC.

Football kev?

Yup.

For an Everton fan he's not a bad lad.

Hmm

Just power washed ours and uncovered lichen. Bugger

What's with this obsession with driveways? It's like the 21st Century version of a donkey-stoned front step, who gives a fuck about it, as long as one's car doesn't slide about on it...

On the subject of Indian stone, I have taken up about 30m2 from my patio including a 'feature circle' and border setts, if anyone wants it and can collect they can have it, its in good nick and stacked.

PM me if you are interested, I want it gone soon.

I keep chickens in my back yard, which I've paved with Indian Stone.

Or something like that
