In Celebration of 4:20, Dr Dre’s 1992 The Chronic has been finally released on Spotify.

just given Bitches Aint Shit a listen, and to be honest, I much prefer the Ben Folds Five cover:

😂😂 that’s brilliant

Any mention of old school rap/hip-hop always gets this in my head.

A listen through of "Leftism" on the Tim Burgess listening party tonight, those opening 3 tunes are sublime.

I’ve actually done a good number of the listening parties. Been great.

I've found it actually easier to just come off Twitter as they're playing then come back to the comments after, sometimes a bit too much. Be Here Now last night, its so loud and relentless and the feed was getting so pummeled it was anxiety inducing!

The whole album ... space shanty though, wow.

Classic 👌

Not a single dud on this, Open Up now. This hour has flown by.

Same for me. Live you can miss comments from the band members in the rest. There is a link off the website to archive of previous party threads

Yeah me too. Slaughtahouse and Daily Operations were my introduction to hip-hop.

DJ Premier released a posthumous Gangstarr album last year, don't know if you caught it:

I certainly did. DJ Premier is up there with James Brown for favourite producers, I went to the Rock The Bells Tour in New York a few years back now and he was the DJ , did the set for Nas when he performed illmatic in full. Then by chance met him in the hotel reception, really nice guy, got an autograph and Photo with him.

Plus you know when a shit sing is coming so you can plan bar and bog trips accordingly.

I usually wait for the guitar solo at the end of a song to  leg it

Ahh Gangstarr. One of my favourites 😊

That sounds ace. Was meant to go watching Nas years back at Apollo but he cancelled because he was working on Street's Disciple

He’s great I don’t think he’s slowing down so you might get another chance. I’ve seen him a few times now

This song is menkul but lots of fun as all of Alestorm's stuff is.

Great song and band this but I'm putting it up more as a celebration of a time when social distancing was unheard of, folk these days wouldn't know a stage invasion if it bit em on the arse.
