I mentioned Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in a previous post. A 15 year old wonder kid! Well we have 17 year old Joe Moores. A great knock of 55 today. Showed up the experienced top order. Wasn’t enough though

  • On paper, the best batting line up we've had since Atherton, Crawley & Fairbrother, if not before.   On grass, absolute shite so far.

A bizarre finish Pete.

Bowled them all out and we need just 15 runs to win.

Northants lot must fancy a night round town tonight :D

Great work by Gleeson against his former team, a fivefor in both innings.

Ironically, two ex Lancs players,  Luke Procter in the first innings had a good knock for them and Nathan Buck’s tailend slog in the second, kept them away from avoiding an innings defeat.

A lot of ex-Lancs lads on the circuit at the minute. Must be doing something right

Whatever happened to Procter?

Seemed ok when he first came on scene, albeit with a weird action.

2nd match in a row with a pointless toss. Under current rules the away team can choose to bowl, or go for a toss. In both games they went for a toss, we won and put them in to bat.

Investing in youth but never picking them.

Mahmood dropped after 1 championship game despite being top wicket taker in 1 day cup. Instead picked a pace bowling line-up which is 36, 36, 31 and 28

Doesn't seem too bad a decision at the moment though! :)

Presumably he'll come in soon enough, once we approach the ashes.

The ashes are so late Jimmy is available for 2/3rds of our games. There should be room in the team for both and frankly we should be getting promoted so easily (3 go up, and large parts of this division are rank poor) that the focus should be on developing players for next year and beyond.

I don't disagree, though on yesterday's performance you couldn't argue against it.

I reckon he'll gradually replace onions as the season progresses.

A too think we'll get promoted back. Still need to improve batting consistency.

Good opportunity this morning. Take the last wicket and hopefully not collapse.

3 wins out of 3 on the cards.

30-2 chasing 120 odd

Tip and nuck

Dodgy covers at Gloucester seem to have scuppered any chance of continuing the 100% start.

Very drole.

I was looking over cricket's history recently, and the number of titles held by each county.

Didn't realise just how far ahead Yorkshire were.

Some work to do for the others.

Left a bonus point on the table here for the sake of a 5 over slog to try and get there before the 110th over - hard to see why not to try for it given the size of the lead

we should win this in 3 days at this rate🤞

494/6 plays 50 odd all out... Would have been kinder to let them concede at the end of day 1 and both teams could have some extra T20 prep time

Nice convincing win for Lancs.

Listened to the last bit. Two of their lads had a good thrash each, but a thumping 23 point win nonetheless.

10 in the match for Parky
