I mentioned Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in a previous post. A 15 year old wonder kid! Well we have 17 year old Joe Moores. A great knock of 55 today. Showed up the experienced top order. Wasn’t enough though

  • On paper, the best batting line up we've had since Atherton, Crawley & Fairbrother, if not before.   On grass, absolute shite so far.

The decision making in this innings has been really poor, both from the third umpire and Lancashire themselves

We'd likely have won it comfortably if it weren't for the need to accommodate a fifth competition in the calendar

Nevermind

Ah well.

Pissing down now. Half an hour earlier and Vera could have saved us. 😞

Somerset deserved that though.

I'm pleased Bumble's back

Well done Ladies. 👏👏

Lancs beat Derbyshire by 29 runs today, thanks partly to a young opening bowler...

I was at OT on Friday and yesterday. Great weather and great cricket. Batting on Friday from Josh and Harris and bowling yesterday from Jimmy and the other pacers.🌹

It's amazing, how long can he keep going for I wonder, it'll be a sad day when he does finally retire

A good run out by Josh Bohannon today getting Cameron Bancroft. I like Bancroft. Got caught cheating of course but an innocent pawn used by senior players imo.

I love this press conference though about when he first met Jonny Bairstow.

Has the stench of Benkenstein finally gone? There are bad appointments then truly abject ones.

Good start.

T20 blast shown anywhere?

Lancashire v Glamorgan 20/20 yesterday.

If you don’t know the result, don’t look!! Go to YouTube and just watch the last 6 overs on the Lancashire Cricket channel.

Unbelievable!!

To concede so many runs in the last 11 balls is criminal.

What a great game. A bonus watching England’s greatest bowler getting the wicket of England’s greatest batter. Splendid stuff.

Hopefully we can do enough to qualify

I've been to both games this week, they were chalk and cheese. Great entertainment last night, they went for it from the start, opposite of Monday when it was frankly boring with very few boundaries until the last couple of overs when they woke up to get a draw (but should have won, needed 1 from last ball). Fantastic entertainment and atmosphere last night in contrast.

Great beer snake, when it started there were plastic pint cups flying through the air towards the snake that never stopped, stewards trying to stop it all added to the comedy value.

"Yorkshire get battered everywhere they go" was the new song for the night.

Got talking to a bloke on a tram who used to play cricket with George Johnston, related to GJ's Dad (cousin I think). GJ was a good cricketer but was forced to give up at 16 as a condition of playing at Liverpool. He still drinks with his Dad in his local in Hale Barns.
