Arron Lilley didnt last long either. Not sure how good he was, but remember him doing well in a TWO game on sky, helping to pull off a wonder catch beyond the boundary. Dunno what the coaching set up is like- will take your word on the old boys club- but we do seem to get through a few. It feels like half the players in county cricket started at Lancashire, but we're forever shipping them off and signing journeymen to fill the side anyway. Chapple was an all time great player for us, but as a coach he's had 2 goes and relegated us twice.

maaarsh
Rain delay did for us. That and Vilas once again preferring to use part timers over his best bowler. I wonder if Parkinson is under ECB protection and 4 whole overs would be bad for his development.
Moderators Casino Posted September 4, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 4, 2019 Serious questions for Vilas What the fcuk Got back in it then ignored saqib and Gleeson Madness

maaarsh
This has been brewing all season and now we pay for it. His selection of bowlers defies belief almost every match.
Piemon
so so disappointing that last night. Everyone must have been shouting at the TV when Livingstone got the ball in the 19th over. Saqib was the obvious choice. Vilas has carried us with the bat this term but has cost us massively at a crucial time with his captaincy

No way Bopara could’ve smashed 6s from wide yorkers.
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 11, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted September 11, 2019 Almost promoted now. Gained sufficient bonus points to mean that matching Glamorgan's result will send them up. Bohanon unbeaten on 150.

maaarsh
Finally picked Parkinson for this match. Vilas gave Maxwell 17 overs before giving him a bowl. He's either mentally incapacitated, or something is very wrong in that dressing room.

Rumour going round,...Dane’s wife rode Parkinson on his chair in a Spanish Vilas, whilst Glenn made everyone a coffee...think it was Maxwell House. More like when does Parkinson's contract finish - best young spinner in the country, we barely play him, and when we do we don't bowl him - he won't be short of better offers. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 12, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted September 12, 2019 (edited) He certainly should be bowling now, on tired, end of season pitches. As for Maxwell, not followed his exploits in depth, but whenever I see scorecards, his performances don't seem to stand out. Fuck all today. Good lead nonetheless.
