Planning a Thurs to Sun in early May but finding many rentals already booked. Any recommendations in or near the walled centre would be much appreciated to save me time sifting through trip advisor. Doing this cheaply so decent bedroom and bathroom is all thats needed.

If it's owt like zadar then air BnB is a better option for apartments in the old town than hotels outside it

You don't need to be that near the walled bit, just be on a bus route that takes you there - anywhere on the peninsular that the new harbour is on. The buses are full of blonde American & Australian female student types with flashy perfect smiles, if that helps.
