I will literally piss my sides when the great unwashed scouse cunts drive Sam out, the most delusional set of fuckwit fans ever.

  • aye   look at where he took us from and where he got us too and the situation we found ourselves in   you can bang on about the likes of Cid, McCann and Samuel, but look at the others he did great

Is it ok to now give Phil Gartside some credit for those signings? Without him Eddie D wouldn't of happened or any of the European ventures. Golden memories. Thanks P.G. RIP

Did I miss the free flowing success fest that was the Moyes years?

You dont quite get it do you!?!

Oh and he just compared himself with Simeone in his presser. Just sums the man up.

Haha, the blokes a hero.

Bet hes laughing his cock off at you

Thats why if he had all this season with us, he would probably have been sacked also...that start we had against all the top sides....well sam would have given then games up so would have been in same position as Koeman.

Now I may be wrong here but I don't ever recall him rolling over for the big teams.

You dont quite get it do you!?!

Obviously not! I actually agree with a lot of your reasoning about Allardyce but were things any different or better under Moyes? I seem to remember you had some good years and some bad ones under him but I don't remember you being a particularly scintillating side

never finished below 8th, 7 times they finished 7th.

currently....

You are correct, but the differenc was under moyes we were skint and didn’t spend much money at all. If we was in same position financially now, we would probably give sam a 3 year deal.

Its the money that changes ambitions.

Can you give me spurs prem finish stats please la?

Everyone is spending more money though

Everyone is spending more money though

Us more than most, £250 million in 12 or so months.

Debt paid off, new sponsors and new ground....all means we want more now.

mate it doesnt matter how much you have spent in the last 12 months, your playing catch up to teams who have been spending millions year after year. one silly summer where you paid over the odds doesnt propel you in to their league.

had a net spend on the squad of what? £120m? Liverpool spent two thirds of that on one CB ffs. that investment is going to have to be done for another 2 or 3 years for you to even consider getting anywhere better than 7th.

i get your / majority of fans argument. its the style of play thats irking everyone. ive said exactly the same on here about us. theres different ways you can do it, Sams way isnt what you want but he'll get you there. But to expect any more from him or anyone else in the next year or two, youre living in a fantasy world

You've got to catch up though.

Others have been spending mega bucks for years.

And they have champs league and recent successes to attract players.

Sam has started along a similar vein as with us.

Walcott is a decent player not quite in favour at a top club.

Looking back that's how Sam started, Youri etc.

Might not work but in another couple of seasons who knows?

Its a start.

Plus, you will find that spurs, Arsenal and liverpools spending has not been that much more than we are now doing.

Chelsea, city and united are a level above those for spending, but its ok for those clubs to dream about the title!!??!!

Along with spending, they have modern young foriegn, ambitious managers....again, its ok for them is it !?!?!

Have to think bigger than the Moyes/Sam limited style.

Wont get it right all the time, but who does!?!

Nothing wrong with wanting better.

Walcott & Tosun were not sam signings, like all the others were not Koemans

Doesnt always work like that.....Liverpool signed the Ox when he couldnt get much game time at Arsenal....Chelsea signed Giroud same.

Salah signing for example....had everyone know how he was going to play...well he would have been at Real Madrid.

Its a start.

absolutely not.

but the spend by them has been sustained year after year not a month of madness and BANG we're going for the title..

the Peps, Jose's, Ancelloti's etc no disrespect arent going to come and there are very few Pochettinos around. for every one of him there are 4 or 5 young ambitious managers who have come in and failed. Vilas Boas, Silva etc

so its all well and good saying "we want rid" and "we want a young ambitious manager" but no one is coming up with any suggestions. so where do you go?

I would rather keep trying and “failing” than not even try.

For Spurs to get to this stage they went through a few managers, even a british one. Wasted money....and now have it right.

Liverpool the same....they got rid of british managers because they wanted more....excitement and front foot football.

ok then, considering the spend that was made this year and whatever happens in this window would you take Sam and pretty much a guaranteed 7th or 8th or try someone else with absolutely no guarantees and finish say 10th?

then youll be up in arms again and round & round it goes.

what the fans need to do is accept its a longer term job, reduce expectations a little and get off whoever is in charges back because your not challenging for something your never going for in the first place

Sorry mate I know you like him, but Sam does not guarentee 7th or 8th at all.

What about cup?? Trying to win those?? Vey achievable, but not the way Sam approaches the game, its whybhe has very poor record in cups.

You know aswell as I do, football for fans is about those moments, and days to remember, cup finals....win or lose. Proper going for it.

For all of sams faults, he is good at ‘staying in the prem’, that just aint good enough.

I dont care what that table says about his 21 games managing us....we had already played all the top teams anyway. He is limited, his style has a limit.

Martinez aparently failed....and in his 4/5 year period has done more than what sam did in 17 year. Thats why he is managing one of the favs for world cup.

yep absolutely, everyone knows what theyre getting with him thats why he was appointed.

i dont particularly like him either way. did fantastic for us but now looks a bit like a Dinosaur. everything Evertonians are saying about him i get

But dont forget he was ruled out then came back in at the last minute. why? a) because Silva compo was too much (probably a blessing is disguise) and b, there was no fucker else

so all things considered, irrelevant of what the fans demand (realistic or not) who has suddenly appeared 6 months down the line who can give you what you want? because im struggling

edit: Emery has just announced hes leaving PSG do you think he would take it? with all this spending power you now have?

Watford said no, he was flying high with them.

Moshiri panic mode, we wanted sam for 6 months only....he wanted longer thats why he said no.

So to get him for 6 months we had to offer him longer....obvs for that pay out, dont blame him.

Moyes was wanted but had already gone to west ham.

It was mater of a security appointment for a few months, its all it ever was.

With the wage we offer, and the new found wealth webare a diff proposition for managers now, thats a fact.

just the general question of who you would want or who springs to mind that could deliver this different approach and progress for you? not many candidates in my eyes..

Gibson is a top 7 club signing. no more  :blum:

I want to see fonseca given the job.

Tuchel or even Blanc and Emery would have been exciting, but probably get better offers.

Im not sure on Silva but he was certainly smahing it at Watford before we rocked that boat.

Arteta woud be the left field proper risk tho.

LVG is latest name....not sure, but with Brands coming in, they worked together before.

Other less exciting names would be Eddie Howe and Ranieri, or even Sean Dyche.

Arsenal have eyes on Arteta apparently?

the others mentioned are the ones that would potentially progress you but like we both say, would they come?

Dyche? is he not just another sam? done the same with Burnley as Sam did with us..

We have to try for them.

Managers come for this “project”, and with a massive wage and promis of funds. Makes it a different Everton to the one under Moyes.

Benfica want silva....but for some reason its not been done.

Fonseca is the one i do want, his record wherever has been superb, and he has something about him defo.

I dont want Dyche but I could see why some would.

Key really is they need to be able to work with a DOF, thats the model we have....and it fits foreign managers more.

How sam is in media and to fans doenst help either, at least Dyche seems a bit more ‘normal’ and respectfull, if that matters.

Regarding Arteta, Pep and other in the game say he is the best coach around....blew poeple away at his UEFA license quals, apparently.
