Given the choice i'd prefer not to eat Halal meat. Why should i eat meat thats been killed in a way that religious nutters dictate.

  • I'm sure that makes the animals very happy.

I do, massively.   If we're going to eat meat, at least show the animal some respect and care when slaughtering. Neither kosher nor halal should be permitted for me.

You wonder just how many folk requiring halal food would frequent a place serving alcohol and burgers etc.

I was in a place called my Lahore in rusholme on Saturday and it is halal and doesn't serve alcohol. Packed to the rafters it was and the majority Were Asians eating burgers and chips and chicken nuggets and chips. Astonishing market for shit western food evidently under guise of halal

I've clocked a few muslims that have moved in to the Dickson road area of Blackpool.

If there's one street that goes against everything in their bollocks religion it's that one. It's full of LGBT hotels, gay saunas, swingers hotels and crack dens.

Are people actually bothered by Halal ? Or is it just offensive when they don't fancy a kebab/ curry ?

Which tastes better?

Tend to find veggies and vegans find it more offensive as per usual

I couldn't give a toss if it's good food

Went into MacDonald's at the bottom of Derby street the other day. Bar us, every customer was Asian, not that bothered with halal.

I really don't care either way to be honest

Why kosher? It's painless for the animal and thus incredibly humane I thought ?

It's the jizz in the thousand island sauce and the E.coli all over the generic meat that's more of an issue for me tbh

Suppose some of it is knowing. I'd prefer to avoid it but know full well i have eaten it without knowing, same way as ive probably eaten other animal meat without knowing that I'd definitely prefer to avoid.

Yes. Muslim people get very bothered about it.

Clearly I was referring to our non Muslim brothers. I really don't see how it affects us. I mean if you are strictly religious etc fair enough but if you are just getting a bit of a shitty on because you are a bit racist is it not a bit weird

Can one not be strictly non religious and prefer their food not to have been involved in some sort of weird ceremony to satisfy the mentally ill?

I'm not arsed how it's killed to be honest.

I guess they can't but on the whole why are they bothered?

Slitting an animals throat and letting it bleed out with its head flapping loosely on its neck is horrible.

Actually watched a documentary showing the lot once. Unless they've changed things then its far from humane.

Normally, animals are stunned first then killed with a bolt. Nothings perfect, but its pretty quick and 'painless'.

Watching the kosher job, the cow was brought in, its head leaning over a wall/gate. The chap lifted up what is basically a sword and cut it, the blood squirted into a room, hitting a wall, whilst the animal suffered.

It wasn't pleasant viewing.

Strangely the slaughter man seemed decent and respectful but using an inhumane method.

The idiots doing the standard humane methods, were freaks and weirdos. May not be reflective of industry as a whole, but was eye opening.

Having seen halal certified slaughter.. id prefer to avoid it.

There is also two certifying bodies.. uk and Irish.. the Irish halal cert is a lot more loose with regards to stun etc and this is what a lot of chain restaurants use so they can say they are halal.

I guess they can't but on the whole why are they bothered?

Your mind is made up as to why they are bothered, because they are racist, and nobody will ever convince you different, so best just leave it there.
