Right - I've got hot and cold running water downstairs. I've got hot and cold running water from my bath and shower upstairs.

 

However - I've only got cold water from my sink and nowt whatsoever coming out of the hot tap.

 

Could one of our alpha males tell explain why this is please?

Either the tap is fucked or the water is isolated.

 

Failing that you have the mother of all leaks somewhere

Write it off as a bad job and move house

Is the pipe hot behind the tap?

Have you tried rubbing it with a balloon and turning round in a circle on the spot 3 times anti-clockwise

Is there an inline valve on a flexi-hose under the sink? Obviously these things don't mysteriously turn themselves off but if you had any mischievous visitors recently...

Atttach a fridge magnet from a hot country to the spout. Job done.

No the pipe isn't hot - there's no valve under the sink - the balloon didn't work and Bruce's Mrs has already sold them to Jimmy Tarbuck.
