Thanks You hiring a car mate? If so, plenty to go see all around Malaga. El Caminito Del Rey is spectacular. Head west to Marbella. Ronda is incredibly beautiful. On the drinking and eating front, it would be remiss not to mention Bolton Dave's 'Lounge Bar' in Benalmadena where a bottle of very nice Estrella Galicia is 1 euro. Eating wise there's plenty to go at. If you want haute cuisine, 'The Little Geranium' in La Cala De Mijas (owned by Masterchef Steve Saunders) is superb but you need to book around 7 days in advance to have any hope. My favourite Indian (Sai) is in the same town. Heading out of La Cala towards Alhaurin/Coin, Venta El Jinete is also excellent and not overly priced. In Marbella, tapas bar El Estrecho near Orange Square is as good as you'll get on the tapas front. Think it's still no. 2 or 3 on the tourist guide for things to do/see. Heading east from Malaga Nerja is a great place with loads to do. If you're just staying in Malaga, some good places to eat and drink in the old town. Let me know by PM if you will be hiring a car. I have good and very long standing contacts there in the car hire game and can put a word in for you for a great rate.
March 8, 20188 yr ^Alhambra in Granada probably worth a visit too Yes, top day out. Cheap to eat and drink under that shade cloth beside the ticket counters too. We thought we'd pay through the nose in a tourist trap. Not a bit of it. Four of us eating with beers and wines and it worked out at about 20 Euros per head. One day wasn't enough to see everything. Amazing place.

March 8, 20188 yr If you to Ronda take a little detour for a spot of lunch and a walk round Benhavis nice little place to spend an hour or 2. When you get to Ronda take a walk through the little park which looks out over a 500 foot steep drop into the valley.

If in Malaga stay to the right of the "river", everything is on that side. Get the train from the airport, cheap, clean and on time. Get an EMT card from a tabaccos, buses are great (bus wanker!). 10 trips on a card and more than one person can tap it in. http://www.emtmalaga.es/emt-classic/home.html Bus 35 goes all the way up to Gibrafaro, great views. March 9, 20188 yr Agree. Fantastic place Never been. Always wanted to go and with my Dad living on the Costa for 30 years I'm a clown for not going. There's also the Mesquita in Cordoba but that's further still from Malaga
