F1 is back

Looking forward to this season

Changes to the front wing supposed to mean more overtaking - lets see

Tyre compounds simplified

Just sat down to watch recording of qualifying. Be interesting to see if Hamilton still dominant but Red Bull the big curiosity for me this year. Will they move forward or slip back into the pack?

I think over time he's earned most of that luck. He earned his place in the best car by excelling in lesser ones. He gambled on Mercedes when they weren't the finished article. Today with pole he mayb

1st to 3rd in seconds...

Watching this. No idea what's happening.

Is Lewis second?

GOAT.

Commentators suggesting Max should consider himself very lucky not to have had a penalty.

The stewards are fortunate, that Hamilton is so good and has overtaken him.

Hold out for the win now Lewis.

Toto to Lewis after the DQ Fuck em. What a way to respond to two shit decisions

Fair play to max he knows he was beaten by the better man

The next 3 races are set up for some serious straight line speed racing.

He’s the best there’ll ever be. Simple as that.

Toto was a bit miffed and showed it on the radio afterwards, which was quite funny.

To apparently hold back on the attack pending the non-investigation, then come again was class. Especially knowing there was a chance verstappen might wipe him out.

Massive congrats to Mercedes too- their management of the situation, especially when both drivers were questioning the decision was brilliant.

Bottas was brilliant today, nothing more he could have done.

Kimi was brilliant as well, 8 places he gained

Except take verstappen out at the first corner...

So Merc could get a new ICE and engine installed every race weekend and only lose 5 grid places and then go round the track on a fuckin rocket.

So could red bull.

Yeah but the Honda engine isn’t as fast as the W10 in straight lines and that’s what will be key in the next few races.
The Qatar has a huge DRS zone

Saudi could maybe have 3 DRS zones and will be the fastest street circuit on the calendar

Abu Dhabi has 3.

Some tracks favour one type of car, others other types.

Swings and roundabouts.

Average out over the year.

I think he was inferring that Haas are shite and as slow round Monaco as they are round Silverstone.

I was.

My post was Diver-esque in its ambiguity.

Soz

haas are still on the formation lap

Where’s the on board footage of Max’s car when he forced Hamilton wide?

They uploaded Lewis’s straight away.

No penalty was nonsense. FIA are either too scared to make such a big decision or have it in for Mercedes

Christian Horner let’s the FIA have a go on Geri in exchange for favourable decisions.

Whilst I've not seen the full details, it seems that red bull also had something to answer with regards to fiddling with their car when they shouldn't.

One lot punished whilst the other not.

Maybe it was justified, I don't know.

Only just seen the race after being away in H Town yesterday and last night

This is going to the last race. Or maybe not. If Max gets away with pushing Lewis off the track then he’ll do it again. No doubt. He’s seen his opportunity and has taken it this year. Not just once. There’s no conspiracy don’t get me wrong but he seems to be allowed to push the limits more than anyone else without sufficient punishment

Whats really disappointing for me is the midfield has just disappeared. McLaren have gone backwards. Ferrari have stalled and settled for whatever they can get and further back Williams have gone backwards

I did have some concerns that he'd do something similar again if Lweis tried another pass.

Fortunately it didn't materialise, and hopefully if anything similar was to happen in another race, suitable measures will be meted out.
