Danny Rose

What do folk think of his comments?

Seems that his heart isn't in the game anymore. Not sure if he'll manage another 5 years without being committed, but that's for him to deal with.

Sentiment is right but the part about fines being as much as he spends on a single night out makes him come across as a bit of a dick.

Indeed. Not the best analogy was it. :)

The point is there are millions knocking round in the game and teams get punished fuck all.

I thought he was very good last week for England.

He also said he can't wait to get out of the game

Well, Daniel, nobody is stopping you

Precisely. Wonder what spurs fans think?

A lot of money for a player that doesn't really want to play.

I think if racism was 99.9% stamped out - then he wouldn’t be saying he wants out. And if some extra initiatives start to kick in maybe his comments will have contributed.

Racism today is minimal. Wrong, but minimal. Think what Regis, Cunningham, Batson, etc went through. It was such commonplace that possibly it had less affect on these boys. Whereas the random token monkey chants in far flung reaches of the world stand out like a sore thumb in today’s game.

My departed mum liked nowt more than us playing orient

Folk who do it now really are absolute knuckledraggers

Chimbonda clearly hasn’t thought through his comments today.

Relegate racist fans/clubs.

You’d have the potential for opposition fans infiltrating home sections.

Not much difference as Rooney is also trying to speak English.

Agree. Just not sure how you can carry on at the top level for 5 years if you want out.

Perhaps he didn't portray his thoughts too well.

As city's manager has said- fight back at the cunts and don't let them win.

Fair point as we love facts here, but I don’t think he used the capital F in fucking :D

Gordon Strachan doesn't seem to get it

Another that has a fair point but badly put..

In theory, once someone has served their time, they have been reformed as such,

however you definitely can't compare it to vile racist abuse.

Strachan has a point, if folk were to shout stuff at Johnson from the terraces, stuff like; Paedophile! nonce! perv! slot-badger! two pin din plug! bush dodger! small bean regarder! unabummer! nut administrator! bent ref! crazy world of Arthur Brown! fence foal! free willy! chimney bottler! bunty man! or shrub rocketeer! then it'd be just another form of racism.

Unbelievable Gordon Peterson.

In his defence he is as numb as a piss-stone.

Look at the case with Padiham FC at Congleton Town in a recent NW Counties match, Padiham keeper racially abused by a few nobheads, manager took the whole team off, they werer fined £165 for leaving the field of play, Congleton also fined  £160  for failing to control their fans and they were awarded 3 points as they were winning when the players walked off.Congleton claim the abusive fans were 'from another club whhose game had been postponed. What are folk supposed to do stay on the pitch and take the abuse?
