July 19, 20197 yr To put things into perspective a little. Between 1973 and 1975, the price of fuel doubled due to the Middle East oil crisis. Worrying times. I remember the cost of filling up my scooter for the week went from 35p to 40p in a matter of weeks! We got through it. Seriously, We’ve gone a long time since a global crisis that affects people in their everyday life.

July 20, 20197 yr Given the parlous state of the Iranian economy, they may struggle to manage in a prolonged conflict. Obviously they've got oil and fuel, but low on other things. Interesting to note some of the crew on board these two tankers grabbed by the Iranians are Russian. Might complicate things a bit.
