" Bat Out Of Hell "

Featured Replies

Met a girl in Atherton and invited back after a couple of pints, nothing naughty because she lived with her parents, went in the back room and she said listen to this, i thought what a load of fucking shite. I never met her again. 7 years later on the way to the Newport v Bolton game in 85, our car driver played it non stop. It must of got in my earworm, and thought it was quite good after 38 times non stop.

You were right first time...

I fucking detest Meatloaf and all his shit, overly-long song titles.

I don’t like the Killers, but appreciate they make very good songs. I just can’t connect.

Meatloaf, however, just cowmuck

one of those groups where people know all the fucking lyrics to every song.  Dog shit, cant stand them..

Don't mind Bat out of Hell actually, the original 70s song is decent. The musical was so stupid it was actually ok.

You had to be there, 77/8, drinking Newky Brown, eating digestive biscuits and listening to football on the radio on Saturday afternoons

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Saw a tribute act at the local village hall. Called himself Maltloaf.

Got a few laughs when I put a Soreen loaf onstage.

I noticed that objects in the rear view mirror appeared to be closer.

2 out of 3 ain't bad...

Mindblowingly numb, self-indulgent nonsense

But I actually quite like it

Talking of self-indulgent shite, did anyone else waste their money on that triple album ‘Consequences’ by Godley and Creme?

I was gutted. Saved all my pocket money for ages to buy it. Dreadful

I was a massive 10cc fan mid 70s.

There was some decent stuff on Consequences, but, as you say, a bit OTT.

But, L, for example, had some great music.

Yeah my older sister loved 10cc and played that debut album constantly. I knew every word to Rubber Bullets by the time I was 11. Consequences just killed it for me. I bought the triple cassette version

Oh, I had the deluxe box set, or summat!

£30 on Amazon

My sister played it for 12 months solid when it first came out. Then when she got bored with it my dad played it none stop for the next 12 months. Took my dad to the BOOH musical at the Opera house a couple of years ago. It was pretty good.

Listen to Roy Bittan piano play and ignore Meatloaf... The record is then worth listening to
