Spent long weekend in Ibiza on a stag doo not been for a while forgot what a lovely place it is,  after 2 nights partying at the Ocean Beach Bar and Hard Rock Hotel I spent Monday returning to normality, spent half a day wandering round Ibiza town square and then up to the old town, has a great chilled out vibe, won’t be long until I go back. Anyhow back to mainland Spain next week to continue my recovery from Ibiza.

Went to Rovinj and Porec 3 years running late 80’s with Yugotours. Looking back it was all a bit weird. There were no hotels so to speak so you got dropped off by a coach at someone’s house and lived in their back room for a week. There were a few campsites around but they were all Germans who had driven there. Real moody atmosphere. All the bars around the harbours were packed with old men in tatty 3 piece suits from 9am with massive foaming steins and chain smoking and being aggressive. Being early 20’s I had no idea the place was about to enter the Yugoslav War and they were all seriously pissed off with life and weren’t happy with happy, smiley Brits getting leathered on cheap ale

That's fucking me most of the time living with a fucking nurse on 12 hour shifts!

Cracking place, a few lovely hotels - we stayed in Grand Park. Highly recommend it, 10 min walk into the heart of town but a few bars/restaurants closer by.

There's enough to do without being too big.
