Our bestest January signing ever?

Since the window came in(?).

I'm struggling to think of who signed when; Bobic, Laville?

In their time! Not good for us. You could say the same about Jardel!

In their prime we couldn't have afforded them, they were gambles that didn't pay off, most don't. If you get lucky you get an Eidur.

Scored on NYD think only goal for us

expected much more

Think it was against Notts County, him and Andy Dibble were the first 2 players I remember being excited about us signing as they had a proper top flight  pedigree.

When did we sign Robert Fleck?

He was on loan around Christmas, scored his only goal v Notts County on NYD

Lee was November. Can’t remember with Blake other than about half way through the season.

Lee was on loan initially and we used the money from the Liverpool cup ties to sign him permanently

Blake was December, though not sure if McFarland or Todd signed him

Anyway

Oscar Perez was a game changer

Felipe Morais signed on the 2nd of February. One of the rare recent success stories.

Craig Dawson . A great player and who knows what would have happened if his loan had not expired.

Yes, quite.

One of those which made you question whether Sam was perhaps on a backhander*.

* for legal purposes let me made it quite clear this was just an idle thought with no basus in fact & no way impugnes Mr. Allardyce's actions or motivations.

Jemson came from Forest & was a honky 😁

Jemson, said on under the cosh that he came on loan to Bolton not for the football but so he could be close to home for Christmas.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen any player look that disinterested playing for us the massive bellend .

Robert Fleck definitely wasn’t interested

Sturridge was a belting signing in a Jan transfer window.

ALF was another

Laville definitely up there too, he was fantastic. What a shame about his injuries.

forgot about Sturridge, great shout

though arguably ALF and Laville were bigger in terms of helping us acheive our aims that season

and Morais

Holden and Wilshire came here when Coyle (I know, I know) left Burnley & came here.

I asdume they were intending to join him wherever he was. I blame him for a lot but am pleased I saw those two.
