Before I take him to the vets

Buddy my dog doesn't seem to have coped very well since the new baby has come. He's very quiet now and withdrawn and hides away alot of the time. Noticed he keeps licking his back leg in one spot and he has licked the fur away now. Still eating, drinking and is fine when out the house on walks. Anyone else had a problem like this before I get bummed at the vets? He's getting lots of attention, he isn't being ignored.

He's perked up these last few days. Stopped licking his leg and is actually coming over to the baby nudging his feet to play. Bloody drama queen he is.

The vets changed. Used to be proper fit. No longer there. IAMOUT.

I've just heard so many bad things about them recently.

You’d have fewer babies if you made that your mantra

Thats what the midwife suggested for contraception.

The occasions I've used connies could be counted on two hands...

Probs about 0.2% of times.

I've always been surprised when girls/women just, 1st time, let you go in uncovered.

Perhaps the roofies help ('joke').

Nah, always been a whip-out master.

Being on the internet early helped school me in this discipline.

The coil is strange, you can feel it, as the Jackson 5 might say...

Definitely sounds like anxiety.

There are other options- vets may be able to suggest the equivalent of a shrink. Maybe try looking online for other folk with similar issues, and animal therapists that can help.

Got to remember that Buddy has just had his world changed massively, even children can become upset when a baby sibling comes along.

Our dogs like going under a table with a cloth over it as a bit of a den- gives them some security and a space away from one another- somewhere 'safe' if you like.

Don't know what your set up is like, but perhaps somewhere for him to feel secure whilst he gets accustomed to the new arrival?

Personally, I'd be wary of medication immediately when something relatively simple may help.

Thats a point. He used to have a crate to sleep in (now has a bed in the kitchen) We got rid of it to make room for all the baby stuff. Might have to bring it back in out the garage. He's made a tiny bit of progress today. Sniffing him and nudging his hands. It's his 2nd birthday Saturday. Might get him a brass.

Ok the crate should be the dogs 'safe place' a bit like its den, if you have got rid of that and then bought all this other stuff in might explain it. I would get the crate back in as a starter and see how it goes. We discussed using a crate with a friend who is a vet and they said if it is treated as a den they are fine, if you use it as punishment then horrible

That's bollocks.

He killed about a thousand people in revenge after someone murdered his dog (and nicked and wrote off his motor).

Are you confusing your black nfl players who have had trouble with Johnny Law?

Nah, Keanu Reeves.

They managed revenge over a car theft and dog homicide to stretch over about 12 filums.

Definitely sounds like anxiety, how old is your nipper? A change of environment can really mess a dog up, has he got a safe place to go when it gets to much for him?

Good looking lad

Was wondering if we'd need to take ours to the vets Thursday night, she was moping about all night and making small gagging noises most of the evening. I tried to have a feel of her throat for anything obvious but nowt. Decided if she was same next day get her to vets, but she seemed fine yesterday. This morning she was trying to scrape her arse about outside then noticed she was trying to shit out one of the Mrs socks. Fecking idiot. 😂

I suppose we're lucky it just worked its way through without any issues.

Did he (Buddy) take an extreme interest in the recent drama 'It's a Sin'?

I cba with another dog, but any man who lets a dog into his home that didn't have the potential to savage him to death if it wanted to become pack leader, or rip the throat of a burglar...

I don't get it.

What's the point?

There is a 'test' btw.

Play 'Finally' by CeCe Peniston.

Then play 'I Killed My Family' by Brutal Truth.

If they doggy-mince around to the former then...

If during Brutal Truth they jump on the kitchen table and dive off, then chase their tail then...

If they favour 'Finally' do them a favour, rehome them in Blackpool, Brighton or San Francisco.
