The PGA in America set up a prize fund to be handed to the golfer considered to have generated “the most interest” on social media platforms. Basically, a popularity prize.

Rose not in the team. As Rudy said above, the Captains picks were Lowry, Poulter and Garcia. Weisburger made it in on the final day. I suspect Lowry automatically qualifying would have meant Harrington would have picked Rose. Shame he’s not there.
