When The Market Hall was The Market Hall what is The Vaults now was storage space for the stalls/shops...

A stallholder told me when they went down and hit the lights the whole floor was like a moving carpet of brown fur.

That's what happens when you culvert a fucking river under a food market.

Think a pest controller poster said it was a similar scenario over at The Chinese Buffet too.

Stopped going after reading that.

And never ate at any of the gaffs in The Vaults.

The aforementioned brown fur carpet has probably come from the closed bogs on Bridge St (?).

It's a similar situation at the McDonald's on Knowsley St too

Forgot (well not forgot but more put it to the back of my mind) about my first ever girls holiday at 17.

Stayed in Marmaris (Shithole) in a cheaper than cheap hotel where we where put in the attic rooms with no air con. Was 40+°C in July.

Electric in the hotel used to cut all the time and this one time I was alone in the room getting ready. Other mates where at the hotel bar downstairs. Next thing knock at the room door with a member of hotel staff asking if I was OK with the power cut and everything.

Told him I was fine and feeling very uncomfortable as I was just dressed in a towel on my own. The lovely man proceeded to push his way into my room, grabbed hold of me and pushed me on a bed. I won't go into details.

Thankfully 30 seconds later, one of my mates came up to the room for something and he left. I dread to think what could have happened if she didn't come up then. Management refused to ring the police as we where a group of 17/18 year old girls from England and thought I was probably asking for it.

So yeah I'd say being sexually assaulted/nearly raped was propably one of the worst hotels I've been in.

Fucking hell.

Ages ago I went to Dublin with work, and they put me up in the Clarence hotel.

The lifts came when they wanted, the room was freezing, the TV didn't work and the food was terrible. A few years later I went in  with Mrs Fog on holiday and it was top notch. It had been bought by Bonio and him with the hat out of U2.

I don't know if they still have anything to do with it mind.
