WOW....what a day....what an occasion!! Boby, I couldn't believe you saw me taking the pic so far away 🤣 Roll on Sydney!!!

  • Got too love the Aussies.😅 Loads of Bolton fans here.  We were at the traffic crossing yesterday and an Aussie/British family stood next to us. The young lad, about 9, kept staring at my son’s

Interesting times, but of a gamble, but why not?

Just hope he can teach our batters to bat. Interesting that they’ve not gone back to the gung-ho approach of Buttler for the red ball game.

What a guy

Great day so far.

Weeding is OK when wickets are tumbling. :)

Parky arriving at Lord’s.
‘Welcome  to the team, sorry it’s all a bit short notice’.

Get your pads on! 😊

Ridiculous days test cricket. About sums up where England are at the moment.

Very much in transition under new management and captaincy. Bringing back Broad and Anderson. Still to bed in some youngsters. Will always take wickets but batting biggest issue.

And the crazy appearance of Parkinson still to come.

Should be worth tuning in tomorrow.

It's a great to see a Boltonian and a Wanderer get his well-earned opportunity.

Good luck, Parky.

He offers barely any insight. The lack of chemistry between him and Atherton yesterday was palpable.

KP is OK when doing the odd piece about himself, batting etc.

Beyond that, wouldn't have him near the commentary box.

TMS is a lesson to everyone.

Aye, some going that. To come in at 32-2 and see us over the line takes a lot of talent.

Incredible coincidence: both Root and Cook reaches 10,000 test match runs at the same age to the day exactly.

Excellent from Root today, he really is a treasure in an era where batting is over shadowed by the brilliance of bowlers on show and bowling friendly conditions. And well backed up by Foakes.

Great start and great test match to hopefully kick off a new exciting era.

I found out today that Ben Foakes' dad refereed the play-off final between us and Reading.

I see Parky has been immediately fucked off again in favour of tried and tested mediocrity

There is a common claim amongst commentators that he bowls too slowly. Now, that maybe true for the very top level, but we'll not know for sure until he's given a run, and an opportunity on wearing pitches.

Same claim was made before he was the best spinner in county cricket for 3 years running, and before he played 8 short format games for England with success. Now he's got Monty numb nuts Panedar writing articles about him failing after he bowled 14 overs and got the only wicket by a spinner on a green top.

Unfortunately England squad seems to be very cliquey and his face doesn't fit, whilst confident but limited players like Bess get decent runs in the team. For a new era there are remarkably few changes to a playing squad which was badly found out last winter.

I agree, without giving him a proper chance, no one knows for sure.

Monty Pissonplod should keep quiet.

New regime looking pretty toothless today, even with the best player opposite missing. Hopefully they actually make the reset they pretended to make at some point.

Wouldn’t want any England player to fail but if Leach doesn’t perform in this Test, it should give Parky a chance to establish himself in the Team. You do fear though that even given a chance, without a good performance, the established players will be brought back. Hopefully, Parky will rise to the challenge.
