Mix of both, the police couldn’t guarantee their safety. I don’t for a second think they were banned because they pulled a flag down and attacked a taxi driver in another country.

They were banned because of their previous behaviour & the tension their presence would have caused in the local community. Of course the reaction of the locals was one reason, but I’ve no idea why you’re in denial of the other obvious one.

WMP couldn’t guarantee the safety of the fans & the locals. And there are two sides to blame for that. And the safety report highlighted the Maccabi fans as the biggest threat.

Doesn't matter if UEFA didn't step in. WMP made the decision based on the Maccabi fans behaviour and the tension they would bring, alongside the expected reaction from the Muslim community.

But their behaviour was what you see most weekends from many clubs across Europe. For Many clubs it will be a lot worse. So the main problem was the Muslim community wasn’t it. Imagine that 2025 in England and the Muslim community having that much pull .
