Can they cancel players contracts like that? Without paying off their wages? DF will need money in the transfer window and hopefully the club will back him with the money he needs.

No I dont. I'm saying he hasn't had the impact I hoped for. For instance he hasn't had the impact MM has had at Ipswich so far. FFS, Is it unreasonable to hope that a change of manager will have a positive effect on a struggling club. Change of management style, tactics, training, etc?? He's had 10 games and I hoped he could at least organise the defence so we don't concede like we did under OC. I ain't some delude kid screaming for his head and ill back him as long as hes our manager. I just a new manager coming in would have resulted in a change of fortunes quite quickly (what with this so called premiership quality squad we have).

Posh are a very poor side who's whole team probably earn the same as SKD. I really thought a new manager would sort our problems out but the worst thing is that DF seems no better than Coyle at gettting the team organised. I agree that our team is made up of gutless journeymen / premiership wannabes whom are either a) alot worse than their previous pedegree suggests or B ) are not being managed or coached correctly. Unfortunately we are skint and the worse we do the less likely ED will release funds. Wellmhed be mad to throw more good money at a bad job. Even if we had a fire sale to raise funds for new players who could we sell? Mavies is injured and on current form probably Eagles, Sordell and at a push LCY however I doubt wed be able to pull in £4-5 million in total. Look at Ipswich, is that not the sort of reaction you expected when we got a new manager.

My first choice would be Mick McCarthy however he maybe a bit too old school. PG wants a young manager to continue following the plans put in place whilst OC was still here ( which I guess is develop young talent, bring them through the ranks and then sell them on for vast profits). If McCarthy's face doesn't fit then I'd be glad if they took a risk on some one like OGS or similar. Just please not Alex McLeish

Terrible news for Gary and for the club! Wasnt it only last wk when OC said that Cahill staying was the deal clincher for his move from Burnley? I bet Coyles having a few regrets now. If we drop the rose tinted glasses and are honest with ourselves we are now probably one of the favourites for the drop. Knight may have been a revelation since Coyles arrival but AOB and Shittu dont have the qualities required for this level and a teams only as good as its weakest link. Fingers crossed that either can turn it around and develop into excellent players over the coming months, otherwise we could seriously get relegated. Hope Gary gets better soon

We were very very poor today, the players are lacking confidence and its painful towatch. We are not good enough to compete right now and things need to change sooner rather than later.

1-1 Taylor I predict a good start from the whites with an early goal, only to lose one at the end after playing 10 men behind the ball for the 80 minutes after our goal.

Makakula is and never will be a good enough for the Premiership. It's worrying when theres not enough footage to make up a decent Youtube clip!!!! He has the touch of an Elephant and looks very awkward on the ball. He will probably bag a goal at some point this season but it will probably be a mis hit or deflection off the back of his head! Whens Elmander back?

I'll second that man. i'm gutted he's gone but I wish him all the best. Fingers crossed the young lad Davies can hit the ground running!
