Taken from 'The Sun' today...... ???But I am flattered Sam???s name has been linked with the England coaching position. ???Should the call come from the FA, it would be a very proud moment for Sam Allardyce, Bolton Wanderers Football Club and me personally.??? Gartside also dampened Allardyce???s hopes of a bumper kitty when the summer transfer market swings into action. He added: ???The squad will be improved for another campaign in the world???s toughest league. ???We are also committed to prudent financial control to ensure the club???s future stability.???

If anyone has any spare, we will snap them up. We submitted our application by 1pm on Monday and have ended up with 5 instead of 15. If anyone knows of anyone, can you pm me. Flights and accommodation already sorted.

As much as i was a bit peeved that we hadnt signed anyone....when you look at some of the signings other clubs have made and the cash they have gone for, i say full credit to Sam for not bowing to pressure and buying someone for the sake of it. Benjami - ??4.5m Earnshaw - ??3.5m Mendes/Davies/Pamarot - ??7.5m Samaras - ??6m Brown - ??1m Cant really see any of the above actually improving our squad. (although i know feck all about Samaras and Benjami)

Warbies don't own the club anymore.... On the same note Eddie Davies does and is probably worth more than the Warburtons, (i am sure i read an article once that said if he was to sell up he would get ??100 million) so if anyone needs to dig deep.....

Fully agree.....the club have been banging on about our support for the manager and the team....well they need to look closer to home. Maybe when they start to support Allardyce more, especially in the transfer market, the fans might have a little bit more faith. I am still waiting for Gartside's comments on how close we came to pulling off the signing of a major player, only for the phone lines to go down at the last minute.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that is a weird transfer. At one stage, there was probably no one better than him when through on goal, but now, i doubt he can add strength to their squad. Maybe he is a replacement for the pregnant wife beater.

Fooked up there....this message ended up in the middle of the previous message. Too much pop too early. Not sure if i remember this right, but didnt they say when the Reebok was being built that it was designed in such a way, to keep the atmosphere in. When we have a full house it can be excellent, but when it is half empty, it is w@nk. On the subject of attendance, anyone got any idea of how many the Arse will be bringing tomorrow? ( how many any's can you get in one sentence)

Thing is with Burnden you could still have a cracking atmosphere with only 10K on (a lot less on some occasions), Reebok struggles with 20K+. Has he got any other options? Dont forget that they can only play fast flowing 'attractive' football.

And i wonder if his mum knows he was still up playing on the PC at 3.59. He must be knackered at school today.
-
Are you sure he's Chelsea and not Spurs....that looks Yiddish to me.

Heard it this morning on Chris Moyles.....he had them replay the clip and then took the mickey out of him for being a sore loser. :-({|=

Still undecided. Made a couple of reckless challenges against Blackburn, so not sure he is the sort of person to have as a tackler. Distribution has been ok though.
-
I didnt go cause i cant afford it. Have just got through Christmas and also forked out 132 quid on a flight to Neemes and 86 Euros on accommodation, so Blackburn wasnt high on my list of priorities. Can only assume that the date, plus the fact that we are going to Marseille in 4 weeks has played on a few peoples minds.

More than happy Mr Pearce is getting the results. Hopefully it will take some of the limelight off Big Sam should any other managerial vacancies arise. Personally, i have a lot of respect for the guy, because you cant kid, Billy the Kids, kid.....if you know what i mean.

Full credit to Vaz Te for getting in the position he found himself in. For the first time in the whole match we had someone who actually created space for himself and through no fault of his own, that chance was wasted. Blame the pitch, blame the player, blame the boots, blame the manager. At the end of the day, i thought it would be difficult today with their current form, and am more than happy with a point, especially after playing with only ten men for more than an hour.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390...5590320,00.html I doubt there is any truth in this article, but if there was surely he is a player who would help us immensely??

And the words, "on a cold and blustery afternoon" will probably make an appearance somewhere along the way.

After todays performance, i thought the media would have no other option but to congratulate us on a job well done. Just read the article on sky sports and had to piss myself. A couple of examples are: "Arsenal started playing a neat passing game as they pressed the home side back." "It was no surprise Bolton were making the most of their set pieces" "Arsenal looked to their captain for inspiration and Henry so nearly delivered with his typical imaginative touch" http://home.skysports.com/matchreport.asp?...l=football_home Read it for yourself....personally, i thought we played them off the park. Maybe thats why i aint no journalist.

Did anyone experience the friendly banter between Bolton and the Rangers fans on Wednesday night? Very friendly indeed!!!

Question on everyones lips.........when is he gonna get a run out? Everytime i have seen him play....he looks quality. Very good with the ball at his feet, and judging by that last night, has a good finish on him. I remember reading an article on him at the start of the season in the Telegraph as a one to watch, but he hasnt been given the chance. Is he worth it or is he going to be another one of these youth team want aways?
